people always talk about how Yuju's vocals have regressed from debut but no one ever talks about how her emotional delivery and tone have improved so much. She was always amazing but she's so much better as a singer than she used to be even if she can't maybe hit all the highest notes as effortlessly and I LOVE how she uses her falsetto more now it's so pretty 💘
she did regress, but not that much. she's actually getting better now, especially with the help of her vocal coach from gfriend debut days.
Yeah, I wouldn't say she has regressed. Rather it's been her finding how she truly wants to express herself and find her own voice as a soloist, compared to being one member of a six-woman group. As wonderful as her first mini-album was, I think she has really found it here :).
I think the saddest part of it is that she did not really regress, Source Music mostly handled her voice badly and kept giving her some high notes that weren’t very healthy for her sometimes since they barely had any vocal coaching.
Let's not forget that Yuju did write and help compose most of the song of this mini album, including 'Without U' so for me she evolved from idol to full artist.
"She's one of these vocalists for me in kpop where the second I hear her voice it almost feels like coming home" woah that's really such a great way to describe Yuju's voice, seriously, the emotions are just all over the place... She really has such a deep feeling to it, thanks for reacting to her!
This, together with the whole album, is just Yuju telling us her whole life's story as an idol, and how she's feeling right now. I honestly feel that this album is all about her screaming how much she misses Gfriend and us, Buddys and you can't convince me otherwise.

I can listen to Yuju non-stop because of her emotions put into the music and her voice. It feels like a thunder of emotions. Yeah I love Yuju, just cant explain it clearly🥹

Btw Kaia, two days ago Yuju just dropped a new single with Leewoo! The song title is 'Happiness index'. It's a really beautiful song, hope u can react to it ;) There are MV and lip versions, i recommend the lip version 2 which is the recording clip. The official MV is beautiful but doesn't feature Yuju & Leewoo in it
Regress? Dreaming exists and some of you think her voice has regressed? She practically hits a whistle note in that song and y'all still want to talk down about her vocals.
