    “You Make the Best Pancakes!” (2:16, The Hey Ho Whoa Car) // Amelia & Alrick Making Pancakes (7:32, The Past Car)
    *OTHER IMPORTANT OBSERVATIONS*
    The name “Alrick” is of Old German origin and means "noble or regal ruler". Aloysius has his voice and glasses (same VA), and is a King who is strongly revered by his subjects.
    Aloysius is also of German origin and means “famous warrior”.
    Turtle Family w/ toy Train may be referencing Amelia’s early/childhood homelife. (5:19, The Unfinished Car)
    Mailbox has an “A” on it, possibly standing for Amelia & Alrick (5:26, The Unfinished Car)
    Hazel knowing how to make tea may be a reference to both Amelia and Alrick living in Britain, since tea is the most popular beverage there.
    Hazel’s outfit is a mixture of Amelia and Alrick’s outfits, mostly from elementary school.
    Hazel’s number is Amelia’s starting number (8:34, The Hey Ho Whoa Car)
    Alrick’s Hat on a Snowman (5:09, The Grid Car) // Alrick’s Hat (5:00, The Past Car)
    Alrick’s Cloak (6:03, The Past Car) // Younger Amelia’s Cloak (6:45 & 7:44, The Past Car) // Older Amelia’s Cloak (5:11 & 7:56, The Engine)
    Caution tape at the end of the Unfinished Car could be alluding to the fact that Alrick’s death was a sudden accident (3:43, The Unfinished Car).
    Alrick possibly died in a car accident, because of the inclusion of a green flipped car in “The Engine” at 5:25. The car does look like it is a popular 1980s model (Buik).
    Amelia getting the phone call about Alrick’s accident is located at 6:31 & 7:32 in The Past Car. You can also see it as the final frame in chronological order in “The Engine” at 2:19, before it swaps scenes.

    According to the creators, turtles are not only meant to symbolize Amelia, but also the titular train itself.

    Owen Dennis actually confirmed that Lena Heaney was the voice of the conductor voice modulator and Amelia on the DVD commentary, because with all those phasers and changes to the modulator can be completely different with a different voice actor, so she also voiced Alrick for one line when he uses the modulator.

    To Amelia, the Turtle Handkerchief would also hold the last bits of her late husband's DNA. Depending on what Amelia learned about the inner workings of the Infinity Train (as seen in some new clips from Book 4), she may have once tried to use the Turtle Handkerchief in an attempt to scan parts of his DNA into the Infinity Train's algorithmic mainframe. However, instead of identifying and scanning the DNA, the Infinity Train identified and scanned the turtle pattern on the handkerchief itself, and Amelia never realized it until Book 3.

    Another moment in book 3 that shows Hazel having attributes from Amelia and Alrick is that she says the phrase "Don't be daft". Daft is more common in British dialect than in American dialect and would therefore show that Hazel has some British vocabular from Amelia or Alrick.

    I am genuinely amazed that you caught so many seemingly small details in this show! I had no idea that was the handkerchief Amelia refers to.
    One thing I do wonder, however, is how does the Chrome Car fit into this? Reflections are sentient in this universe, so does the train make them self-aware by uploading passengers' memories, or have they always been sentient, and the car serves as some kind of waypoint between the prime and mirror worlds?

    • @CSnail18
      @CSnail18 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      i totally agree that the denizens become so sentient that they dont reset after their designated passenger finds their exit, getting attached like the cat to simon and morgan to jeremy (book 4). (enter theoretical infinite loop of the train creating denizens with the same mental issues it is trying to maintain/improve)

    • @selalewow

      5:01 I just spotted Simon and Grace in the passengers Amelia was looking through. Since they do not even show up for 2 books, that is a lot of foreshadowing. TR says every little background detail is worth looking into. I guess that was one of them.

    • @Orsan_
      @Orsan_ 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The thing is, technically reflexions aren't denizons, rather actual translations of the real images projected in the real world, as Lake said that she would become dizzy when reflecting over the pen holders on banks; most importantly the fact that Tulip lost her reflection on the real world at the end of Book 1.
      It's a whole world worth looking into, I think I'll dig deeper into it if someone hasn't done it already lol.

  • @ravenanimations3176
    @ravenanimations3176 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    This also makes sense for where Tulip woke up, and why One-One was there. It was most likely a car made in the early days of the train, which is why there were no denizens, and also why it was so far from the engine

    Given his design, he's a reporter or detective I'm guessing in design alone. The details of the car showing the car infers that Alrick might have either been in a car accident... or a hit and run. If it was a simple car accident, or something else, I don't see a detective being on scene. Plus, whenever he's talking on the phone, he's dictating details like he's reporting it to someone else. Like a cop would dictate the scene to the station to start filling in the report of the accident. I'm not an expert but this certainly pieces together more of the untold story of Alrick's passing.

    i originally thought that amelia was using alrick's DNA from the handkerchief, which would explain why every passenger got their possessions back in book 4 (amelia would need the handkerchief back to get alrick's DNA from it). we don't know what type of engineer amelia is, so she very well could have a background in biomed/biotech. she does make a radio though, so i'm not entirely sure if she's meant to have experience with biology. when she eventually met tulip, i was confused as to why she'd wipe tulip's tears with the same handkerchief, as she'd still need alrick's DNA. but maybe she managed to extract his DNA beforehand and replicate it (PCR was invented in the 80s) so she'd have an unlimited supply. the callbacks to her memories are really interesting though, so it'll be cool to see if the train uses only memories to create the cars or if it can be used with DNA or something like that.

    I just don't really understand the purpose of the train. It seems like it's supposed to rehabilitate people but the further we go into the show it seems like it may be more of a punishment. The thing is if you were having 'issues' in your life the last thing you would want is to be tossed into a random train and be told you can either die here or get over your issues to leave. Most people going through issues want an escape from their lives, at first I thought the train was providing that for them, it was stopping their lives temporarily so they could take a break from it all and simmer down. But the fact that they still age on the train and can die on it just shows how twisted it is, it's trying to punish people by telling them if they can't get over their issues they can just die here. We probably won't get a clean cut answer on what the train's actual purpose is or why it's so harsh but it's just interesting to think about. Especially since like I said it seems like a good idea, taking someone from their life and giving them a break (we could all use that) but the fact that they're held there against their wills and can even die on it just shows that the train doesn't care as much as we thought.

    • @NobodyUndefined
      @NobodyUndefined 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Crystal Kanashii But thats it, people like this just need time and space to figure it out. But when they're trapped on the train and told they won't be able to make it out and could die on it thats the issue because they have no escape.

    Another possibility that comes to mind with Amelia's perfect(ed)/complete train car, provided that the car does indeed generate the denizens once it becomes fully operational, is that not only would there be a Alrick there.....but an *Amelia* as well. Which would leave the original Amelia stuck as a mere observer if she didn't try to kill her younger counterpart.
    That could make quite an unusual story, especially if in her rage original-Amelia ended up creating the very accident that lead to Alricks death in the first place......

    A question Ive allways had is if the denizens that dont take on a guide roll are made the same way as the guides. One One says he made Alan Dracula but the turtles seem to be created by the train. Some denizens seem more aware of the train than others and some seem to roam from car to car while others stay in the one they are created in.

    i have a turtle tattoo, so this show connects with me on another level. analyzing it is like an insane therapy session. questioning whether the train is a god or alien, or how the whole premise is that all of them become equals with their experiences through their respective cars, but itll never be finished... like the train... since rather a sentient denizen or a new passenger, they're in a therapy infinity train.
    lol forcing to go into therapy, this is amazing at this pocket world is like "hey we should value ourselves to better us and grow" but the sentient denizens feel that same purpose showing the train will continue to create denizens to help "passengers" who leave through their exit but no contingency plan to those who want something more like Lake other than her world. because kez was a nuisance after leaving morgan for helping jeremy leave, she got her own denizens that reset back to one (theater joke i guess) (like alan dracula, perry, atticus, aloysius, etc) (like how the mirror world explain what happens after your prime dies (forshadowing?)) but when denizons like Lake, hazel, tuba, (possibly perry but how many willing hosts are there?), kez, and morgan, etc. learn to emotionally or mentally grow/heal along with the intended passengers, they become full of free will. also technically since everything came from the train, (the gohms being orbs originally), they were made for a purpose... maybe it IS to keep the passengers in line, like the body guards to one one's leadership. i feel like theres an au where simon chooses trusting tuba, or grace immediately thinking the girl was a null after all the weird signs.
    everyone needs to work out their own issues on their own time. this is an amazing resource for confronting memories and how we change them as well. and how mental issues are faced and that it COUNTS on their morality fluctuating!!!!!!!!!
    cant stop theorizing this show; i watched the pilot after the amazing over the garden wall (mini series pilot competition to get produced); loved the premise of pocket world to solve greg and wirts problems right?? like theres an old black train a coming.... but they also went into the water not the train...unless the train hit the boys sending them into that world...stretching too far. but yeah, hardcore fan, i collected all of the infinity train figurines when it was apart of the cartoonnetwork arcade app for seasons 1 and 2. but yeah i binged seasons 3 and 4 in the span of one night. and the theories and worlds are blowing my mind to analyze the crap out of this concept!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • @CSnail18
      @CSnail18 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      also the whoopee cushion related to grace since hazel first connects with a laugh over making fart noises/ mouth sounds... are all connected to amelia being the prime function to correct issues/is key to the train?!?!?! i also think when amelia took over as conductor, denizens became more sentient, developing their own mental strives. crazy insane how infinite the infinite theories can play out....

    It's interesting to think about how memories are extracted, since memories change every time we recall them. The memory extraction process seems to turn mercurial memories into immutable tape, but depending on how old the memory is or the individuals level of confirmation bias, the memory the train gets could be extremely inaccurate.

    This came out the day before book 4 so I can explain why Ryan and Min spawned in that temperature car.
    Theory 1. Since Ryan and Min entered the train from an actual train the train's programming was just like "But it's... all train..." so it was a random car
    Theory 2. The temperature car's default temperature was a normal street (besides the aliens) so Ryan and Min's memories were taken into consideration to ease them into the most similar environment
    Theory 3. Before Amelia took over the car, passengers were treated with less empathy since it was being run by the emotionless One. They have clunky uniforms, no video introduction (Tulip didn't have that either but that was before One One) and Ryan and Min were the only ones who immediately began screaming in terror implying that the train did not accommodate the passengers needs before One was taken over.

    I am IN AWE at the details you picked up that I never would have considered. I thought I was a smarty pants for noticing that in season 4 Chicken Choice Judy is the pansexual colors. I’m glad you’re not the type of cartoon analyst to put red circles all over the thumbnail but you might have been justified in this case lol. Some of my favorite type of analysis on fiction, especially visual fiction like cartoons, is the type that actually pieces together small details that is present but not easily noticed. I feel like a lot of fan theorists confuse this with just pointing to anything and calling it a theory or prediction to look like they cracked the case rather than actually fully thinking it through. So I like how you acknowledge how minuscule the details are in the background but then justify it by laying out actual evidence. I also have a new appreciation for how Infinity Train interprets projecting the subconscious, because when I’m dreaming it really is less “weird thing happened lol” and more “person ate jam around me so now there’s just jam here” type of thinking. So anyway, video gud.

    Here’s my theory before watching the video:
    The infinity train works by generating train cars and denizens based off the information gathered about a passenger in the tape car.
    The information is scanned for psychological problems found within one’s memory and new cars are generated that would help one solve their problems, the Mirror Car for example exists to let Tulip be more comfortable with asking for help, The kick me Toad frog car is for Jesse to stop being a pushover/jerk, etc.
    Denizens also work this way, they are generated based off a passengers needs, desires, wants and psychological problems.
    If there’s a pre-existing car that already matches one’s problems they will be transported to said car or in the appropriate path of said car.
    Since literally everyone on earth has psychological problems, the train never runs out of cars to generate, thus making it.. *INFINITE*
    I like to believe that the turtle car we originally see is Emilia’s original car when she entered the train

    I feel like the Train CAN create anything in theory but, being a machine, has rules in place that it has to follow.
    Rule #1: All cars must be possible for passengers to make it through. If the train is infinite, then it could in theory just make a car without a floor, without any oxygen, or with an inescapable maze. It totally could make cars like that, but there's no way a passenger could make it through them. If they can't progress, they wouldn't get a chance to grow. Even the outright deadly cars are fully survivable.
    Rule #2: The train will not create human denizens. The closest things to humans that we see the train create is Lake, who is a cracked reflection. It can be argued that reflections and the mirror world exist independently from the train, with the train itself acting as a bridge. Which means the train didn't actually choose to make metal people, it just gave them the opportunity to get solid forms and a way to leave their native world. Therefore, the train considers them denizens, even if it did not create them initially.
    The only other example of a nearly human denizen is Hazel. She's a result of Amelia trying to break this rule, but she's not completely human either. The Space Men at the club are kinda human, but they could easily be anything under there. If the train were to make straight-up humans, things would get too complicated, as seen with Hazel. The train is built for humans to leave, not to keep them there long term.
    Rule #3: Tapes can be used for future reference. I guess this isn't a rule, more of a policy? Anyways, if the tapes were only used to adjust numbers, then why would they be stored in a physical form? It would make more sense to have it just read your mind directly without the need of a middleman. Instead, they work as a way for both the train and denizens to learn about the outside world, allowing them to better connect with passengers.
