Evicting a 94 year old, bedridden lady?!? That's just pure evil.
Squatters can't be evicted but lawabiding citizens can be evicted.
80 years paying rent, she probably bought the house twice by that point
There is a wickedness in this world that I will NEVER be able to comprehend. Imagine sleeping comfortably knowing a 94 year old is out on the streets? 💔
Her neighbors are angels loving and caring for her.
Update:
The lady next door to this lady is amazing. 😊 I wish I was surrounded by people like that😮😢
Lived there from 12 to 94. Where will she go? Where will any of them go? What can they do? Horrible.
Helen looks pretty good for her age
80 years in the same apartment must be some record.
How much has that poor women paid in rent for that apartment? She could have bought herself a decent condo for that.
I’m not experts, but she looks good at her 94 age.
Soooo if you're a squatter you have rights but if you're a law abiding citizen who's paying rent you have no rights. Welcome to California folks
Leave that lady alone
Thats one thing that sucks about renting... you are at the mercy of others
Where’s the Go Fund Me?
So they bought a building knowing it had rent controlled units, for the express purpose of evicting them and selling the building for a profit.
Having lived in my Family Home for nearly 60 years and being forced to leave after my Mother died..I can understand this Woman's predicament.
I just read the first comment and I'm just so happy to hear that she's able to stay. Finally some humanity in this world. Thank you for reporting this.
The community taking care of this elderly woman, is PURE love. Shame on the real estate investors.
