North had a nephew that immigrated to Georgia. One of his son's fought in the US revolution and lived a long and fulfilled life. After the war they packed up the entire family, grandpa and all, moved to Darke County Ohio. We're still here today. Discovering a relation to a guy like this is intriguing. Not a lot of information from a quick google search, looks like I'll have to dig into some books to find out more. Here in the USA schools teach "King George bad, taxes, they ran the place harshly, Boston Massacre". History is a lot more nuanced to be put into simple 2 sided arguments. Thanks for the video!

996 views in 3 years. people just don't care about history. i'd never even heard of lord north. all we were taught in school in america was king george was the bad guy. i recently heard "the worst prime minister since lord north" line in a brexit video, so i looked him up, and here i am. good stuff. thank you sir.

Wish someone would pay me to know this stuff like software engineers get paid to know theirs. I would be making serious bank :D. Instead I'm just fascinated because I am. Like software engineers! Damn them! (Until software starts writing its own code entirely, in about a year or two hahaha
