Guyana’s interior is indeed beautiful and should be experienced by all; indeed more infrastructures such as roads, bridges, and road signs will go a far way; I heard it's coming so let’s be patient. I have been fortunate to visit many villages in both mountain ranges Pakarima and the Kanukus and while the villagers are most welcoming, one must not forget that respect for the people and the environment is paramount. To enter a village with many vehicles and occupants can be disturbing to the native way of life; one has to be cognizant of their impact. It seems that loud music is the signature of “People having a good time” this might not be the case and suggest toning it down, you may even enjoy the quietness and tranquillity of the interior. In North America, there are many parks for all to enjoy and visitors must adhere to strict rules when it comes to noise and the environment. So let’s do the same in Guyana and keep it a beautiful place for all and the future. Keep the noise down and pick up your garbage.
My husband and myself use to live and work in the entire south rupununi villages we taught at different schools. I like their way of living mainly fishing hunting weaving craft farming and many more too much to mention I walked 28 miles and 14miles to get foodstuffs on Saturday’s.I love their kind of living. If we ever go back to Guyana we will go to live in anyone of those villages in the rupununi area.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
