Fellow Pacific Northwesterner here! I agree it is an absolute dreamworld and I couldn't imagine living anywhere else. I'm new to the vegan lifestyle, but I have to give a huge thank you to Derek and Crystal for being so inspirational and giving me a solid foundation for living a plant-based lifestyle. I've never been healthier and am on my way toward getting off the high blood pressure medication I've had to take for years. Thank you!
I saw the oldest living olive tree in Israel and the fact that they never really die because a new tree grows within the tree and the old tree just falls away and the new tree grows out of the old so very cool
I really enjoyed it Derek, it was very interesting to see all these cool places, and mixed with your positive energy, which you two bring, it was also very cozy, funny and heartwarming!
This made my heart so happy because I grew up in Portland and went to college in Eugene! The PNW is beautiful. Also Virtuous Pie is amazing; glad you made it there.
I love your content, it never feels repetitive. I could binge watch your videos all day, they are so enjoyable. It’s great to see just how much vegan option you found available, what a time to be alive, and vegan! 🌱💪
Fantastic couple of vlogs, great travelling along with you guys. Loved watched you sampling all of the vegan food it looked amazing - that’s what holidays are all about. Thanks for sharing 🙏
Derek & Crystal. So good to see guys. Derek I LOVE carrot cake too but hate carrots, I know right. What trip I feel Ike I was there with you. So much Fun what a journey Funny moments love the trees 🌲. Beautiful couple. 🙏🏾 💪🏾💛🤙🏾😄
Those Coconut Bliss Ice cream Sandwiches are the best! Ingredients are pretty good too compared to other vegan ice cream brands! The cookie part is made with sprouted flour!!
Always go to Cornbread Cafe when traveling past Eugene. The chicken fried tempeh is my favorite ❤️❤️ the gravy that it comes with is absolutely amazing.
Looks like you had a great time! I live near the redwoods and one of the secrets is car camping at those state parks in the winter. As long as it isn't raining, the nights aren't very cold and the days are sunny and clear.
That Redwood forest look like a good place for and asked me Monday's 😉 Look like so many great restaurants to eat at. I'll have to visit Portland one day.
Hey legend - such a good vid!! Seems like you had a ripper time, you don't need to apologise for eating those foods!! Always important to feed the soul and we know you live a healthy lifestyle 99% of the time. You guys should carry a reusable cutlery set with you! Helps avoid unnecessary single use plastic waste.
thanks for the vlogs derek and crystal you two always make me feel like im hanging out with you both also a big thank you to the knowledge you always sharing about food and other stuff in your videos im making a big use of them love you from tunisia
Fantastic vlog.. as always.. such vintage footage.. absolutely breathtaking..Lovely to see from from your viewpoint.. beautiful .. thank you Derek and crystal for amazing vlog.. love you both 🧡💚🙃🙂🍀💚🌿💚🍍🙏🏻🌈
Derek! It was very cool to see you pass through my stomping grounds (Eugene). How strange that Sizzle Pie was closed! That place is usually open and very popular. If ever you come back through, visit Sundial Cafe in South Eugene. Sundial is gluten free and vegan and probably my favorite vegan place in town.
I hope you go back to Crater Lake in the summer, it's beautiful and worth the drive! Thanks for filming your travels, I love seeing all the sights and eateries you venture out to with you guys!
You've got to make it over to Vancouver. We've got Virtuous Pie and so many other vegan restos : MeeT with three locations in town, Chickpea on Main down from one of the MeeT restos, Vegan Pizza House, Po Kong - a Chinese Buddhist Veggie place and lots more. We even have a shop called Vegan Supply that only sells vegan products which is across the street from a vegan ice cream shop called Umaluma. Just a short ferry ride away!
Loved watching you enjoy a holiday 🥰 you two are so cute 💚 myself, my wife and my son are actually considering moving from the UK to British Columbia and seeing the options for road trips and adventures has spurred me even more 😁
So glad I got to visit the PNW on a spontaneous road trip up the west coast... otherwise, I don't think I ever would've visited! It's so beautiful! Sucks you didn't see Crater Lake on a nice day! That water is deeeeeeep blue!
That vegan grocery store really inspired me... I found a family-owned natural foods store in my town, and even though it's not fully vegan, it's the closest thing I can find to it, so thanks for the inspiration!
So fun to see you in my neck of the woods! Portland is definitely filled with many Vegan options. Cannon Beach is such a beautiful spot as well. What a fun road trip! Glad you had a wonderful time!
Daang, Derek! you where in my town, Bro. Mt. Shasta Is hella chill. Glad you got to experience the Pacific Northwest. And thank you for sharing your journey.
There’s Virtuous Pie in Vancouver (next time you’re this way) and I agree it’s SOOO good. Pro tip: add cashew mozzarella to the Stranger Wings. Awesome seeing I’m not the only one who goes on Not-My-Normal-Diet food tours when on holidays. 😆
It looks amazing there. I am looking forward spending two weeks in Vancouver and Victoria in March/April next year and I am planning on visiting two vegan friends in Portland who happen to meet up with me here in Edinburgh, Scotland. Veganism connects all over the world and it's great to know you have friends in other parts.
Aww wish I would have ran into ya'll when you were in Eugene! Cornbread cafe is by my hood :) Next time you're in town you HAVE to try Morning Glory for breakfast..its THE BEST! Was that McCreedy hot springs? You must have passed through Gold Beach too that's my hometown. Glad you had fun on your trip! PNW is pretty special!
I live in Portland. We don’t usually have flash floods like that! It was fun to see your experiences. Come back to Portland. We’ve got a ton of vegan options!
So much beautiful places, thank you guys for bringing us up with us, now it's my goal to visit all these places and especially the forest, it looked so damn big and wonderful. Can't wait for your another video, definitely my favourite vegan youtuber
Omg you two are so cute. There isn’t many places in America I would want to go to but everywhere you went was a vegan Mecca Portland and Eugenie I’ve heard are great and those redwoods were out of this world.
Cool!! I actually ate at Vtopia 3 weeks ago and had the Berry Buffalo, too! And sat at the same table!! Visited there from VA. Entire state of Oregon is vegan friendly

Really enjoyed this video. Nice job. I considered moving to Portland once with a job offer, but didn't because of all the depressing rain. Glad your car didn't get flooded! Watch out for those jerky treats...very high in sodium!
Love me some Simnett vloggage. Keep em coming, brother! 🌱💪👊💥

The 1500 year old tree, think about all things that have happened in that time and the tree was there.
It doesn't care.
