    It’s looking good. That is a massive lot. Fortunately house keepers and gardeners are very reasonable in the Philippines.

      Building in the Philippines is a learning experience. Get help from professionals as much as possible. Budget 50% more than you think. Filipinos can build you a nice house on the outside.. but you are are your own when it comes to interior design and cost. Good luck my friend.

    Thanks for the tour, it seems like a nice secluded area. How large is the plot of land if you don't mind me asking. 👍

      We'll try to add it up when finished.. Fence about P1.2M plus P70K for 10 foot high back extension for proposed garage. Whatever you think it will cost..double it if your thinking to build here.

    Wifey not contented with walk in closet? She forgot that millions of people doesn’t even have their own bed to make matter worst there’s no food to eat and she worries about that already nice closets, she must be dreaming of a mansion! She should realize she came from poor country or maybe from a poor family. She should be excited happy and grateful for what is coming and already her! So shameful there’s people like her that doesn’t appreciate and be happy for anything. That’s unfortunate to have watch a kind of attitude like her, husband need to unspoiled her and perhaps teach something to make his wifey accept and be comfortable!

    • @FloridaMan_Journey
      @FloridaMan_Journey  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      She can't forget about the people who have no bed or food... or had to walk across rice fields in the blazing sun to get to school each day. She helped raise 9 siblings as she was the eldest and that was her responsibility. In the US her home /shack would have been condemned and ripped down as a hazard. I'm sure you can relate. I fell in love with my wife and ensured she is empowered to drive, own property, and make decisions is all aspects of our life. I have pushed her to take charge and become independent. Making design decisions is difficult and often rather permanent. Maybe when you build a home someday you will also fret over the details.

    yikes, did you have an engineer and architect design this ,, looks like poorly done back yard job handman work,, are you really on such a tight budget, the steel bars are already rusty, sorry to see this mate.

    • @FloridaMan_Journey
      @FloridaMan_Journey  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The rebar is rusty as the inital work was started many months ago. It has been "treated" just now. I'm working with a builder who has "cash flow problems" House was to be completed by last Feb. I'm lucky he still is working the job at all. That being said I consider myself lucky. The rusty rebar is not a function of budget. 😒

    i dont see any expansion joints on any of your walls, inc fence, pretty soon you will have so many cracks forming and water will access you interiour of your home, the fence will soon fall apart. your getting what you pay for. inferiour workmanship.. fix it now mate, call in an engineer before you go any further, just blowing your money away,

    • @FloridaMan_Journey
      @FloridaMan_Journey  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This construction is standard in the Philippines and our engineer and architect build via the Philippine building code. Most walls have been up for well over a year with no cracks of any kind. The workmanship on our project is top quality although very slow. Our engineer has dozens of commercial and residential projects including hotels, universities and hospitals so thank you very much for your concern

      Expansion joints are not needed in this case. Rebar have been done and will keep concrete together. Also, I am sure mix is 3000 psi or better.

    leaving a gap in the middle of the driveway makes the pavement weaker.

      It was how the road was originally designed... We just reconstructed it after it was destroyed by the weight of the construction trucks... Thanks.
