I think all the Master Chef judges (at least the Canadian and the American judges) have the same mindset when it comes to cocky chefs and chefs clearly trying their best. When it comes to the chefs that are struggling but trying their best, the judges will immediately jump to help them, whether it's to calm the contestants down or give them a helping hand. However, they aren't going to show that same kindness to those who are cocky and give bad results. I just watched the clip of the guy who was super confident in his tomahawk steak (in the Master Chef Canada head to toe elimination challenge) but ended up serving it raw (despite saying it should be a medium rare) and the chef who judged it, though he didn't yell at him, he was clearly not having any of the contestant's bs. plus there are countless clips of the judges showing kindness and helping those contestant's who are worried, scared, and trying their best but those same judges will immediately snap at those who are cocky and unable to deliver on the expected Master Chef quality food
I completely agree with you! All three of these judges are really nice and give useful critique, lest you disrespect them/act too arrogant
you can always tell when a contestant is too arrogant they won’t actually take the judges advice so they get kicked out pretty quickly because if you’re not gonna take their advice, why are you even here?
