I used to live in Calgary yrs ago, then moved to Toronto. I've been thinking of moving back because of the high prices in Toronto. But after my last trip in December, I decided not to move back. Calgary is getting expensive now. Winter is very dry, dead, long and cold. And there's not much going on there... it's not worth it in my opinion, especially for a single person.
Not sure about this. Winter is not long or dry. There is chinooks here that make the winter less cold and doesn’t last long at all. The Rocky Mountains are 90 minute away and there’s lots to do around. We don’t have pst and house prices compared to other major city’s are better. Each its own.
Haha...I am Montrealer. The restaurant cost way higher than Toronto and Calgary. Housing price is bit higher than Calgary. But i do think supermarket price are cheaper in general
Just came back from Calgary for 4 days trip site seeing. Traffic and City a bit like 30 yrs ago Vancouver. Not saying Chinese food or Grocery stuffs but just the atmosphere! 1 thing good though is only one 5% GST. Still like going back to Vancouver except driving getting too many of vehicles no fun at all when comparing to 15 yrs ago :)
Are you sure? I travelled most of US cities and all South and west Europe, I do not think Calgary is what you described. Calgart is not 30 years behind, it is not a city like New York . Eg you go to Europe, you cannot compare Paris and Amsterdam. It is totally two different style. Eg you go to Japan, you wont compard Kyoto and Tokyo.
If you look at UBS house bubble index, Toronto is the Number 1 in the world. For 唐人飲茶食飯 生活習慣， toronto has more variety and taste much better...😊...more similar to HK.
You can not compare beef quality from Toronto VS Calgary. Calgary has the best beef in the world never mind in Canada. Once you taste Calgary beef you can not go back.

卡城乜都貴過人係因為運費，主要是用貨車由温哥華運來。
最近去了Calgary旅行，退休的話Calgary 唔輸蝕多倫多，樓價平已經贏哂，得閒又可以去Banff渡假

一年裡有6-7個月都是凍到傻, 唔好話完全唔適合老人住, 就算後生, 有時想在街上散下步都難, 生活都幾無聊下, 如果財政ok, 絕對唔會揀Calgary住囉。講真, 退休住東亞或者東南亞先正, 多野食, 生活方便又多姿多彩。

Edmonton係 省政府中心 同埋工業中心 地勢比較平坦 冬天比較凍 外圍新區幾號但係市中心 好舊好難， calgary就係商業中心 有一半加拿大公司 喺calgary而做總部 有少少山睇埋佢比較靚啲 街道話嗰樣嘢保持得畀edmonton新啲 亦都近國家公園只搵工方面呢真係睇你專業， 你做機械工程土木工程 做會計做政府嘅兩邊都有得做。 edmonton比較多 喺大陸東北嚟嘅人 佢哋鍾意凍啲 哈爾濱馬黑龍江嗰啲 calgary就比較mix的好啲

Edmonton非常之凍，冬天可以去到零下40度，你要頂得順。下省雖然啲樓好平，但係Utility非常之貴冬天時間好長，亦都非常之凍

其實你由多倫多搬去 Hamilton Kitchener London 已經會平好多。都係那位多倫多地產經紀講得啱，每個人會選擇你人生時間點最識合的地點居住。Alberta 省要小心的是經濟太依賴石油開採業，油價下跌那幾年好多人失業。
