So I just bought a used 2017 Kia Soul. The fob does not lock, unlock or open the trunk. I replaced the battery and it still doesn't work. I do not have a power button. It starts by the actual key. Can you help me? Is there a way to program the fob?

My KIA remote start hadn't been working for a whole year and I just could not figure out what was wrong with it (I probably should have tried harder researching). I had the three beeps whenever I would try to use my remote start. I was so excited to go try this out with what you explained in your video. And it worked. My remote start is workinggggggg! Whew! I just purchased a used Kia and the seller said he lost his remote start FOB.
How do I get a new FOB and program it to my vehicle? I see in the Manual about pairing a FOB but only if you have the original

Hello, my remote start used to work but now the blue lights shows up on the starter remote but my Vehicle doesn’t respond or lock like it did in the video. It used to work perfectly fine and it also dosent work with the original key fob. It worked perfectly fine. Can you please help?

Do you know how to make the horn not go off when you shut the remote start off or when it times out?
Find anything on this? Neighbours must hate me at 6:00am in -20 lol multiple starts which means multiple loud honks.
@@mattb6514 I did, kinda. I set a timer for 9 minutes on my watch (since the remote start only lasts 10 minutes). Once the alarm goes off on my watch I unlock my car with the remote start key fob (click the button twice fast to unlock). If the car is unlocked when it shuts off it will not honk! ☺️ I then restart it if it’s super cold out and set my alarm again for 9 minutes. I’m usually ready to head out the door by the time it goes off, and can get in the car and turn it on before it beeps.

@@ericaweber1415 Thanks for the tip, I have the same issue at 4:00AM. I will try this. Would love a longer timeout setting as well. 10 minutes does not cut it in -20. The damn horn being set off should not be a default setting. Also, the 3 seconds timer...Who designs these things 🤷♂

Maybe you can help me with this part of the issue - So, my car does this and beeps once like it has the hood open, but like you that isn't my issue. If I try to start the car with my key after this it will not start. It doesn't turn over or do anything. I have had the car towed twice for this and of course it works fine when it gets to the dealership. I asked if there was a safety mode it went into when remote start messes up and they said not that they know of. So, do you think it was in valet mode and isn't able to start in that mode? Any ideas?
I don't have an actual key as the Kia we have is a push-button start. I did, however, have a different car that the transponder in the key was acting up. Oddly if the key was warm (in my pocket) it usually worked where if it was cold I found myself trying anything and everything flipping it around to start and it wouldn't. Ended up having to get a new key. Sometimes it's as simple as the battery is too low, but doesn't you to change it as it powers the transponder. If you are getting a one horn honk for the hood being open you might look at the hood switch pin make sure it isn't bent. Check that the pin moved up and down freely and double-check that the wiring is plugged all the way in firmly. Best of luck as I don't have a key just push-button start.

That’s a good question, I’m probably going to say one of the kids were probably messing around and hitting all the buttons. It unfortunately happens
It is a crazy design, you need to open hatch, hood and drivers door and then press start button. Hate this remote, why did they set it up so the horn blasts when it shuts off, and 3 seconds timer to get in and deactivate it..car shuts down if you are loading anything. And the FOB makes a very loud beeping noise when you start the car, hard to do this from a meeting or any other quiet area. So many things were clearly not thought about.
HELP!! My car is beeping once after trying to remote start it and already opened and closed the hood. However, when I press the remote start button one time to lock it, nothing happens. But if I press it twice to unlock, it will show the lights to unlock and it unlocks the car. It is not in valet mode, as I have tried putting it in and then out of valet mode to double check. After trying this, the lock icon does flash but doesn't actually lock the car and the lights do not flash on the car either. Still beeping one time too. Does it have something to do with the car not locking with the remote start fob? How can I fix this issue??!!

Why does the horn always sound at the end of the 10 minute cycle...how do I stop that??? The dealerships say they can't do anything about it. Piece of crap.
