Way too much of the unused strap in the winch. This means that a lot of the effort you're putting into cranking on the winch is stretching and crushing the part of the strap that's on the spool of the winch, instead of bearing down on the load. Fold up the extra strap and put it between the strap and the bed before you crank it down.
Anyone else notice the winding tool is fundamentally flawed in its design? I attach the hook part of the strap to the rub rail to throw straps over the load. Having it trapped in the inside makes throwing them difficult, near impossible, without first unrolling the strap, which is wasted time.
Obviously not a flatbed driver or just a brain dead moron. The hook in the roll is ideal for getting the strap over tall loads, like foam insulation, especially when the wind is blowing... the weight of the hook carries the strap over... idiot
Had this several years ago, the ratchet is not ideal. I am 6'3", 320lbs, the teeth in the ratchet head stripped and almost caused me to bust me face. I never will trust anything like this over the traditional winch bar.
It's legal to strap outside the rubrail if the load covers the rail. hence an 8ft wide trailer with 2 4ft wide pallets on it............:) I hope your not a flatbedder with skills like that.
Wow everyone tearing into the way the load is secured; this is not about securement but about the easy of use of this product. They are not saying to secure the load with straps outside the rub rails or to not use v boards; they are simply demonstrating the use of their products
PPE as in no helmets, reflective vests, etc., etc...Personal Protective Equipment..."Where's your'e PPE driver?".. after all... it was supposed to be about safety, but instead its about cargo securement...
love how these merchants show their products in the most ideal scenarios

I'd rather have an adapter, so I can use a cordless impact wrench. Then do the final tightening with a standard winch bar.
Wonder what the rub rail is for...🤔
Wish they had that when I was running flatbeds.
where can I find this product

You can still throw it

I prefer the BOA winches. The only way to secure a load...

Straps ought not to be on the outside of the rubrail.
hyrie smith :Especially if you're at a truckstop and Swift backs in next to you and hits your rubrails all the way down the side!

Crushed the crap out of that wall board! Wonder how durable the bar really is.

Hook on the inside, guess he never strapped anything down in the wind and had that hook come back down an hit him on the head

If the product was easy to use why not show the correct way to secure the load .. Video is a complete failure

No V boards... .lol
