Umm, Bagnet is in Ilocos. We commonly call this as Lechon Kawali, Bagnet has it's own way how to cook it compared to how Lechon Kawali or other Crispy Pork Bellies are being cooked.

he appears to be using a oval shaped sharpening stick which has diamond particles. I have one. So it does remove some knife metal and does sharpen similar to ceramic rods

I followed everything and thier ingredients. It was delicious but the issue is the skin us not crakling like in the video but the meat was juicy and tender. I did cook for the slowest heat for 20 minutes and since I think not yet crispy I added 10 minutes more as instructed in this recipes. I will make it again but I wish I will know how to make the skin crispy and cracking good. Thanks and more power

Its a honing rod. Its just hones the edge not sharpens. Need a whetstone for that

Id also recommend everyone too also fry the other side. Everyones stove is different, so just fry the other side, 2-5 minutes

That's what we Filipinos call "lechong kawali". Kawali means pan and lechon means roast, so it literally means roasted in a pan.
