Chronomancer as a class has always been a concept close to my heart, and I absolutely love the idea of a ranged spec that uses wands instead of traditional ranged weapons. The theming of it being using time magic to make your wand shots faster is also really really cool. Probably my second favorite class after Runemaster! Gharik on Elune; I already have access but I want to bring some friends on too :B
Chronomancer is also the first time I've seen a class with a permanenr pet that heals in world of warcraft. Ff14 did it and I wondered why it was never explored in this mmo.

I'll definitely try Starcaller and Sun Cleric (the 2-hand dual wield melee spec). Yeah and Necromancer also looks very cool, class that really gives that strange feeling "Finally we can play a real necromancer in WoW". Aldente on Elune
@@CosmicCleric Previously displacement had some healing and some of the best shielding but it was primarily a support class, ripple and aeons were used to grant party wide buffs. You could clone allies and the clone would mimic their casts, and they also had capstones that would do things like reset an ally's cooldowns or create a dummy clone of your target that would reflect damage onto the original. But everything that made it cool and unique was ripped out to make what we have now.
@@Anarook yeah they need some of that back but it sounds like a design where depending on the user Displacement Chrono was gonna be the worst thing ever or a massive boon to every party.
@@Time4theJuice Yeah but they have support specs still, obv anything that can function akin to an aug evoker is going to be desired in any group. They just took it away from chrono specifically for.. some reason.
Im so hyped for CoA and its obvious that youve put a lot of passion into it! Artificer looks cool but I find it odd that it's a chrono spec, thematically it seems more appropiate for runemaster or even tinker
I really like the Chronomancer class. It's probably the second best class I've seen so far, right behind the Necromancer. I'm really loving what ya'll are doing with all the classes in the game, and I can't wait to try it out for myself! Elune :Jeffmaster
I would love to see more support roles and I feel like this class could get one. Using time magic to buff and debuff, maybe using an altered eclipse mechanic where you wanna keep it in the middle like trying to stay in sync with time while throwing out speed or slow or reverse or maybe even time skips

A small suggestion if I may: maybe you could give the Displacement Chronomancer an ability which allows them to fully stop time for both their allies and enemies in a set radius around them for 5 seconds or so, on a 1h cooldown (the screen would turn grey while nobody except for them can move). It could allow them to get some last-second healing done before a strong boss ability for example in PVE, all the while remaining very true to the class archetype and making them feel like true masters of time. Let me know what your team thinks about this proposal. Cheers!

Love most of your videos of Spotlights on the classes of CoA, wish the Starcaller was a little more in-depth about the specs like the others are, but understand you didn't really have a 'hands-on' approach with the building of it. I noticed in this video at 4:35 you say "...the Tinker class tree is chuck full of active abilities..." I was confused by this. Are you comparing the Chronomancer class tree to the Tinker class tree or something else? Keep up the great work. I look forward to more videos from you, maybe some deep dives for them.
Y'know, this is the class that I was really excited for as a healer main who has definitely gotten a lot of mileage out of Steward of Eternity on freepick, but now that you're making these videos, honestly I'm leaning more towards the Primalist - they both look great, but a rage healer is just wildly unique, right? And I suppose for the sake of maybe trying them out for myself, I'll toss my name into the hat: Myrci on Elune.
