My favorite hack is that if a price seems off, ask about it before you pay the bill. There's probably a reasonable explanation and a more affordable alternative.

Great tips! Escow can only be waived if the buyer puts down 20% of the home or when the loan is paid down to 80% thats when PMI can be removed is what we have been told.

My favorite hack that you shared was to raise my car insurance deductible and I just saved $367.00 every 6 months. I also just opened up my Capital One 360 account earning 4.25 APY on my balance. You are an amazing woman that shares priceless information. Thank you for your excellent service.

Oh wow! I completely forgot about the car insurance deductible hack (we didn't use to call them hacks). I'm going to look at my plans right away and see if I can implement this "hack". Thanks for the reminder!

I think it definitely depends on where you live, mine only dropped about $150, and that's going from $250 deductible to $2500 deductible. Honestly really wasn't worth it for me, but definitely a smart move!

Note for #9 switching to a few-free bank - sometimes you don’t have to switch to an entirely new bank and instead just call your bank and ask to switch to a fee-free account type which is what I did (saved me $6 each month) :)

We’ve had success in San Diego, LA, and KC in finding HH’s with food! You have to be prepared to go early though (before 6pm usually) but so worth it if you can get off work early!
