- I found this show on an old VHS tape and tried to clean the video a bit by taking out some of the skips. This was on HBO and it was billed as "The North American Watusi Tour." Interesting comedian with possibly some of his best work here. BTW-He was the voice of Gizmo in "Gremlins."
I do not own this or the copyrights, I am just sharing some older laughs...

He was my favorite comedian when I was a kid. Nobody heard of him but I remember laughing so hard I peed my pants and had to stay really quiet because it was in the middle of the night and my mom and dad were asleep in the other room 😂😂
I saw this on HBO when I was 9yo. Watching the fart gag and props and rubber glove bits makes sense why I thought it was so funny then. Still pretty funny though. Mandel's interview with Marc Maron on WTF made me cry it was so funny

I saw Howie twice in the 80's and he was outstanding! His audience interaction is second to none. An absolute incredibly stand-up comic.

Howie is a fucking genius! Most comedians go out with a plan but Howie just works off the audience like 90% of the time! I wish he was still doing stand-up! He's one of the best stand-up comedians that ever lived!

Got a vinyl from the 80s at goodwill for 50 cents and it was this show. Works perfect.

It's funny how times have changed. Everybody is so sensitive and PC now, they consider his jokes to be mean and offensive to the audience. This humor wouldn't work in today's climate. But I respect his stand up, it's different. Maybe the jokes themselves weren't amazing but the audience interaction is some of the best I've ever seen. And to anybody saying it was staged is stupid, he completely freestyled about 30 minutes of this show and he was able to get the audience to laugh the whole time. True great, but his style won't be respected in today's society.

Yeah, that's the interesting thing about comedy. What people find funny drastically changes over time. This act is just weird as hell. Go back and check out Jay lenos old stand up comedy, it's some of the lamest shit you'll ever see but people thought he was hilarious.
Comedy is like music hits what people individually get out of it and to each its own. This is funny now when was funny. Not the funniest stand-up in the world or of all time but it's still funny. Apparently is not for you but it was funny to a whooole lot of people, now and then
