I don’t know where you just took me, Mr. Landau, but i want to go back there again….and soon!
I'm here because of Steve Lukather. I figured if it's something HE enjoys listening to, a mortal like me would be blown away. And I am. Breathless.
I got to hear these three guys play this at the Baked Potato in LA. OMG it was great. The entire place stayed silent when it was over it was such an emotional experience. There are lots of great guitar players, but not all of them have the tone that Michael has. Scott Henderson talks a lot about Michael, too.
Landau’s music is so cool and he’s such a wonderful player,gotta give credit to Novak and Hamilton for their sensitivity and thoughtfulness on this beautiful tune.
Mike paints a very beautiful picture on this tune. I love it!

I had the chance once to hear Michael live '2018 or 2019) in an excellent small club (Spirit of 66 in Verviers Belgium). This was a mystical experience. I was already a big fan before, I heard him playing, met the master and became ultra fan. A true master of tone.
Saw him playing alongside Robben Ford at Yoshis in Oakland. Tremendous show on all levels...
jealous.. Hope to hear him live someday.... my dream is to hear him at the Baked Potato in LA. Probably wont ever happen but I will keep hoping for it.

I'm new to Michael Landau...seriously blown away by his touch, tone and just his unique inventivness. There's an awesome vid of him w/Jimmy Herring at BB Kings club that is sick! Really glad to have discovered a new voice ( new to me) on the guitsr to listen to!

Even 3 years ago, buy a CD? I still have a bunch of those frisbees around. Every time I turn around it seems a find a dozen or so. The only thing they do for me is remind me to add something to my Apple account. [Go ahead with the audiophile blasts, but those files are good enough 99% of the time]

They raised 13 kds. The 13 th bought me a Guild Starfire like Robben started on. Thanks Dad! first musician I evef jammed with. He played a mean accordian.

Only saw Michael live once. James Taylor's All-Star Band at the Borgata in A.C. He sounded like a pedal steel player most of the night. Just perfect.

Brilliant guitar phrasing!
Not to take ANYTHING away from a great performance ... his technique reminds me of Jeff Beck. I have a blacktop series strat w/2 humbuckers. Never came close to that tone, however. very nice indeed.
i agree but hes almost completely different, jeff has alot more treble in his sound. landau has his own pickups that are high quality, which the blacktops were not really at all I had one and it was awful, maybe was just my one, maybe upgrade the pickups and see where it takes you.
what a beautiful peice of music. reminds me somewhat of the live version of joe jackson's stepping out 86. But different but some of that feel.
