Yohji once said in his autograph of how he hates the young generation in East Asia often spend all their money on clothing, exp, they're getting used to spend thousands of dollars for just a coat/bag/shoes since highschool, and it's usually money from their parents instead of their own income cuz they can't really earn that much. He also said he loved seeing how the majority of young generation in Western countries r buying clothes from second hand place or cheap brands and still looks fashion and youthful...then he went and designed expensive clothes that most young people can't afford with their own income.

This will upset some members of the YY fan club. I wonder if he'd ever considered that the women who didn't pay for their clothes, might instead have done an excellent job raising children and hence it wasn't a bitchy thing to receive clothing from a loving husband? Of course, it's a luxury these days to be a stay at home mother. Anyway, perhaps he often happened to come across these so called bitches and perhaps they were undeserving. He just appears a bit presumptuous and catty. Pity, because some of his clothes are sublime. Also, he has designed his fair share of revealing clothes in the past. Not everything he has made is androgynous.

I don’t really think he entirely meant it like that. There are people who deserve it then there are people who don’t deserve to have but can have it which refer to Bitches regardless of genders.

I'm a stay at home mother and I really didn't like the way he came across here. I am a huge fan of his work but this just wasn't it.
In this day and age women are more praised for being independent than staying at home dedicating their time to their family and home.
But then again he makes expensive clothing too so maybe the "bitchs" he's referring to are the ones with nannies raising their kids while they are off just shopping and spending their husband's money?
      But that's his customer lol.

I was upset to watch his video. Calling women bitches for stupid random reasons was appalling. His clothes are sublime for sure. But his attitude not so much.

@@dazesalaz6879 I'm childless but i agree with everything you say. Neither of these women are bitches tbh!

Kind of weirdo to think of it as misogyny, it sounds more feminist if you think about how he likes independent woman.
