Hey Kevin , I came across an example where they give a series with 2 variables: a + 13 + b + 27 …. They ask to show that a=6 and b=20. I done the normal T3-T2 = T2-T1 but don’t understand how to get rid of the one variable It’s only 2 marks but I can’t seem to get it 😭 Ok update : I got the answers BUT it came up to quite a large sum for just 2 marks 🤔. Would love to hear how you would’ve answered it !
Hey Kevin I love your videos! So for number 8 if you take the answers over to the LHS to get the values of x after the quadratic equation... all the negative signs on your answer change to positive on mine which effects the answer to the question Would I be penalized for such mistakes??

I think you made a mistake on number 14 you said 301 the 299 instead of 300 who is actually divisible by 5 and I think that affects the final answer. Please correct me if am wrong
Hello Nobuhle, look at the original pattern. It is all odd numbers.. So 300 would not be in that pattern. That is why I went 301, 299, 297, then 295. Hope that makes sense! :)

Use the formula for Arithmetic substitute and it will lead to simultaneous equations then solve ,yeah 2 marks is small for this kind of question
