I'm learning piano by myself, by ear and I can play some pieces perfectly ,but when two months later, a piano teacher decided to help me and startes teaching me how to read sheet music. I'm really slow in reading and I do easy exercises😂 but when I play those pieces I've learnt (for example Nocturne in c sharp minor, idea 10, solas, waltz in a minor and some others) I can play them with the right speed and the teacher is always amazed by how I can do this so good😂😂
