Sorry you missed the beautiful salmon netted at about 7:30. That was one of very few fish caught that day on the river in that area. When there are only a few fast moving fish around and the water is warmer than ideal, Super Baits have been proven for years to be very effective. Thanks for watching.

Lake level is way too high for that to be Shasta in October. I got my money on Rollins Reservoir or New Bullards Bar Reservoir as my second guess.

not a big fan of big weight fishing you can't tell if there is a fish on, you are fighting the weight, not the fish the whole time. and then all that gear for dumb ass trout, man all you need is some spoons or rapala's.

The thousands of people throughout the Northwest & CA that caught salmon with Super Baits this year might disagree with you but if you can catch them without weight than more power too you. For the trout we actually did try spoons and Rapalas but didn't get bit. Wild trout in lakes like that are often tuned into feeding on small insects so lures with a very erratic action, such as Cripplures and Wiggle Hoochies, will typically catch more fish. We were hoping for a big brown on the stick bait but no luck. We only caught two browns, both on Cripplures. Thanks for watching.
