I do not know a single Malayalam word but still do not know why I watched the whole film. Once I started watching it, I really enjoyed the way they portraited the natural beauties of countryside and the actors also had appropriate expressions that made me watch the whole film.

I am watching this movie for the 35th time if I am precise. Everytime I watch this movie .. I wish it is the theatrical release and I eventually admire Mammooka' s dialogue delivery and his nature of screen presence. Hatsoff Mammoty ji.
at 42:48 how brilliantly conveyed how sharp Mamooty character's eye is. sharp & quick at seeing and analysing things. simple but powerful scene. this is what you call script writers brilliance.
The climax arguably plays the most crucial role in a movie's success. Mammootty single-handedly shoulders the responsibility of selling this climax. That too with a (almost) 20 minute long monologue. To hold an audience's attention through monologue for that long is difficult. A lesser actor would have botched this. Yet Mammotty makes it look like a cake walk. For this sole reason, I prefer The Truth to The King. Thanks to @Matinee Now for remastering and uploading this movie. The Audio/Video quality is top notch! I've seen this movie multiple times when they air it on TV, but they snip off certain portions - for instance the scene where Divya Unni's character is being chased by masked henchmen or the scene where Ganesh Kumar's and Divya Unni's characters goes undercover. I believe this was the first time I've seen this movie in it's entirety.
There are at least 7-8 scenes that I can recall from the movie, missed in this version. I have them listed out as one of the comments. For instance.. there's a scene where Thilakan explicitly says the killer is a man.

I am watching this movie for the 35th time if I am precise. Everytime I watch this movie .. I wish it is the theatrical release and I eventually admire Mammooka' s dialogue delivery and his nature of screen presence.

at 42:48 how brilliantly conveyed how sharp Mamooty character's eye is. sharp & quick at seeing and analysing things. simple but powerful scene. this is what you call script writers brilliance.

The climax arguably plays the most crucial role in a movie's success. Mammootty single-handedly shoulders the responsibility of selling this climax. That too with a (almost) 20 minute long monologue. To hold an audience's attention through monologue for that long is difficult. A lesser actor would have botched this. Yet Mammotty makes it look like a cake walk. For this sole reason, I prefer The Truth to The King.
Thanks to @Matinee Now for remastering and uploading this movie. The Audio/Video quality is top notch! I've seen this movie multiple times when they air it on TV, but they snip off certain portions - for instance the scene where Divya Unni's character is being chased by masked henchmen or the scene where Ganesh Kumar's and Divya Unni's characters goes undercover. I believe this was the first time I've seen this movie in it's entirety.

For instance.. there's a scene where Thilakan explicitly says the killer is a man.
