This is not the best Satan in the world, this is just a tribute.
Made my day
The internet is yours
Ha ha 🤣
Nice.
Ahahahah
Jack Black legitimately has one of the most beautiful, wide ranged and distinctive singing voices I've ever heard.
His vibrato is incredible and yes his range is magnificent !
No
@@DaRottingCorpse yes
You haven’t heard much then. Jack Black is an awesome singer, but not even close to be one of the best; talking about range, he has a very limited one sadly.
Jack black just has one of the most beautiful *insert any talent under the sun here*. Jack black is amazing ngl
Poor guy has to be compared to the movie version. he’s doing alright he got my respect
hes the pizza guy from pick of d

The movie version is Dave Grohl lol

I love this Devil, such an eccentric "I don't care what I do, I'm the Devil I always look fucking fly" kinda presence, not trying to be tough and intimidating.
Exactly. Also he is not trying to compete with the movie's version. An authentic and badass devil.
Bent you seen the pick of destiny? This devil is the pizza guy in the movie😁

Jack Black sounds live the same as in the studio version....
That happens when you don't use autotune in the studio.
I couldn't believe it's not playback! Is it??
@@Nom1fan nop,he just is fucking good
@@juanpunch2793 Actually if you have a look at some of the behind the scenes footage, you'll find that's not correct. Have a watch of Master Exploder being recorded. He hits those notes with no autotune

In conclusion, stop being a pretentious twat waffle
This is actually kind of a genius idea on Tenacious D's part. They always really did kind of occupy that space between rock music (and parody rock music, at that) but also mainly like musicals and show tunes. So they have now combined the traditional rock concert with the traditional broadway format. Like honestly if you like Tenacious D but think you hate musicals, you really don't, they just found a way to give you that same experience but keeping you unaware about it.
Dude your right. It legendary but it has roots in the 70,s with guys like Meatloaf his cameo in the movie.
lmao not even close. Just because I enjoy A Tenacious D concert doesn't mean I'm going to immediately hop over to Sound of fucking Music.
@@TheMento98 Never said you would, just that they're bring elements of showtunes to a genre that traditionally didn't. The Pick of Destiny, by extension, is low key a musical. Sorry to tell you.
@@TheMento98 You picked a musical with a drastically different style to make a point. This video looks close to one of those typical rock/metal musicals that have cheap props, like Faust Die Rockoper...although you probably won't find much of it in the US. From what I've seen in popular American musicals, they retain the old fashioned Broadway music or singing style to some degree. Just look at how they turned most of the American Idiot album from pop-punk into typical Broadway music.
If you just want pure modern songs like pop/rock in musicals without typical Broadway sounds, there are lots in France and Germany. Sweden also makes pretty cool metal adaptations. The Dracula musical from France basically just feels like a really expensive pop concert with almost no plot, acting or dialogue. It's just unrelated pop music one after another with a bunch of back up dancers. It's not my thing, but I'll just give you that to show that there are musicals popularized like modern concerts and aren't the typical Broadway-styled ones like Sound of Music. Although I personally love Sound of Music for the dark and heavy toned plot for its last 1/3 and not the musical for the first 2/3 of the story.
But this is 11 years old?

The fact that this live version is sang as clean as a studio recording shows how good the D really is!
Im most impressed they can perform this without cracking up
I mean jack black chuckled once
Because it's not that easy what they do. They think of details like how would it look after years how will it age. They went for that legend status. U can't laugh, the notes he has to hit the interpretation look how sweaty he is, he's not showing he's exhausted.
Having Jack Black's vocals is my life goal.
I was wondering if I'd see a comment on Jables chops! They're pretty epic!
''You are the Devil, We are the D'' and the following 8 bars might be my favourite piece of music ever made.
WE ARE THE D WE ARE THE D WE ARE THE D WE ARE THE D WE ARE THE D
I love how Jack Black and Kyle can sing live and it doesn’t differ from the movie it’s legit identical. Talent. Also F Jack Blacks singing voice is so cool.
Except it's not? They are clearly putting different inflections on their lyrics opposed to the studio version.
In my opinion, this Devil was pretty good, he put his own “personality” to the devil.
Potato The Wise yep i like the this devil as much as the og one
Potato The Wise I’m melting lol
Nahh..
Yeah man, I enjoyed what he did with the Devil. He did it his way. The only other way would be to try to imitate Dave Grohl's version, which would probably not seem quite right.
Tbknick I don’t know if he can compare with the OG but he’s still pretty good.
Jack’s face at the end looks like he legitimately defeated the actual devil with his music
Whos to say he never had? :p
This was just a re-enactment of what REALLY TRULY happened of course

Who doesn’t appreciate him??
Since when has he been under appreciated??? I’ve seen nothing but love for JB
If he's a legend and an icon, then he's NOT underappreciated. At least you didn't say "underrated" which is a gen-z term for "I'm ignorant."

6:55 Kyle Gass underrated ! !!
my favorite part of the whole set.... rock on!

They played it perfectly live... that's something you don't get from many artists.
06:56 random feet in the air
crowdsurfing
Also 7:00
The guy who plays the Devil isn't a singer, but the actor who's actually Lee from the Pick of Destiny. For all my homies with the DVD, if you've watched the deleted scenes, there's a point where it shows Lee is actually the Devil. Now that's a great nod right here!
Well less he actually is the devil and more he got possessed by the devil
I love how Jack randomly starting singing in an accent in the last part 🤣
I don't care what anybody says about this performance. This devil was flamboyant, entertaining, and the notes were perfect
"Lucifer?"
"Call me Lucy."
"Loosey Goosey, baby, Loosey goosey"
I thought the exact same thing haha 😄 😆
So much talent on one stage.
Amazing!
It's crazy watching this performance right after after a live clip taken from this year, like going through a time warp.
"C'mon Cage, now it's time to blow doors down" part pumps me up every time. This was such a good album, funny but simultaneously extremely good at story-telling. I still love it.
Honestly. Reed was a great Devil. Sure he is at disadvantage when you compare him to Grohl, who was the original Devil in the movie.
In my opinion his singing voice is awesome.
Yeah
His singing voice is also horrible but he's good at acting
But also a good sing voice at the same time
His voice is bad for singing but its not like hes a proffesional and neither is jack they just put their heart in to the song to make it work
In a mask, performing live. That was a solid effort.
Dave performed multiple takes, with no mask, in a studio where they can touch it up.
This song gives me chills everytime
desearia poder ver este show en vivo! Jack Black, and Tenacious d are the best!
I'm not sure how this devil never lost a rock off.
+John Doe Because this was the first one... XD
John Doe ..
He never really lost, they shot his horn off
Everyone else was mute
DarkGraid what about the battle with Johnny
Now that's how you make a show, what a spectacle.
Love how the crowd is going wild the entire time.
Damn, honestly I really fuck with this devils performance and that's just because it's different and it just leaves you with a different experience/take. It's fun and it's exactly what The D is about
