It's Danish pete!!
Dude, I thought the same. This video literally just popped up in my feed and it seems like Joss and Pete made videos together way before both of them joined Andertons music. Crazy how things play out!
amazing guitarist
Best sounding review on youtube.
This is the best review of the mesa mini...also nice skills
This has to be the BEST amp to come out in years!!! I just bought one and all I can say is, INCREDIBLE. The versaltility tones and different modes all sound outstanding. May I dare say that it sounds better than the Dual Rec.
I needed that input. I'm torn between a used Dual Rectifier and this 25W
Great job! One of the better sounding video's of this amp!
I guess it is all your own personal taste. I beg to differ, but my mini rec with el84s sounds incredible. I played it for about an hour at Guitar Center and I was convinced enough to buy it, since I knew that if I did not love it, I could return it. Well, after two weeks of playing I am in love with this amp, just perfect.
Tried one of these today. Sounded glorious.
that guy is a killer guitarist!
Holy Pete honore joss Allen what a throwback haha.
I know it is a little off topic, but is this the Rectifier Compact 2x12 cabinet? Can anyone point out the tonal differences beetwen the Rectifier Compact and Horizontal 2x12 cabinets? Thanks.
real vht/fryette are very very rare in switzerland, but from what i heard the pitbull and the deliverance would suit me quite nicely. shame that i have never even seen one from afar... although i basically don't need another amp, on every single amp i try i always feel that the blackmore is just better... love that amp to bits. only amp coming close imo is the steve morse... i kind of seem to like the taste of purple's guitarists.
of course it's all opinion. these are just my experiences and opinions about it. glad you found what you were looking for :)
cool review guys!
thanks
btw, i use as little gain as possible and try to make up for it with the picking. i'm not a "65o5 haz too less ga1nz for teh br00tal deathcorz" kid, on my blackmore the gain control never passes 6.5 (and the blackmore hasnt got a shitlot of gain. only 3 pream tubes). with some fat strings and some serious picking that's enough to play suffocation with, and i use quite low output passive duncans.
i just went down a 4 hour youtube black hole and ended up at danish pete lmfao
ottima prova fender e les paul ottimo mini mesa boogie, bravi.
The guitarist's face when he's playing... Hahah!!
this kid rock !
i mean it sounds good with gain settings until classic rock. it really packs a nice sound there. but from van halen onwards things are getting worse . i tried it 5 hours ago and i have to say that while the vintage mode gives a decent (decent, not more!) metal sound with gain on like 6-7 imo , the modern mode just ends up i fizz and mud on every gain setting. i think the preamp circuit doesnt match well with the el84's on hi gain. why the hell didnt they use 6v6's?
I'm waiting for a mini Mark IV.
:-(
It's out now
unrelated, but wouldn't it be cool if Marshall did a mini JCM 800?
It did!!!
Thanks mate !!!
Holy chops!
AWESOME
Baby Joss!
this amps sounds awesome until you hit the modern mode. seriously, clean to medium gain is good, but hi gain ends up in mud. at least with buckers
That’s because he dimed the gain and bass, then cut all the mids, presumably because that’s what he thought “metal guitarists” like to do. But that really does not sound good on a rectifier. You need to keep the bass below 3 and treble around noon for it to sound good in modern mode.
would be nice if he kept the mic the same distance away from his mouth, but otherwise, good demo.
hm, that last sentence sounds a bit cannibalistic. not intended
wow that guys lost weight since
Hahah!! :)
Damn, I am gonna have to get one of these! I have the Triple Rectifier, but this would be great for smaller applications and not have to lug the huge head around. Very cool!
