      @@ryangallagher9723 Oh yes, I wouldn't want to be called a bird-brain too. And I wouldn't call someone bird-brain either. Its an insult to both the person and the birds. Wishing you health and happiness my friend! 😊🌻

    Obviously this was not the parrot's first exposure to this particular challenge, but regardless, you have to admit that it's impressive how precisely and quickly it goes through so many complicated steps after learning them.

    We do as a species , kind of underestimate how intelligent some animals are.

    • @sandrastreifel6452
      @sandrastreifel6452 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      LemmyJackAndCoke: We assess other species based upon human concepts of “intelligence”. How they function in their own environment is more accurate and realistic. It’s fascinating to see parrots and octopus solve puzzles, though!!!

      Yes and he could have been trained to do this. I'm guessing he was because he never paused to consider anything. Not really scientific.

    • @MidnightWonko
      @MidnightWonko 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I would guess he's probably done this puzzle before. Barring that possibility, also consider that each of the obstacles are pretty much situated in front of each other.
      That said, this is also an African Gray, which is one of the smartest species of bird in the world.

      It doesn't matter. Some humans watch instructions and never figure it out😂It is proof animals can do anything and are so smart. For animals this is huge. I suspect they are capable of things humans can't even imagine.
