- In this video I try my hand at using epoxy resin to make some Energon cubes. It was a first so there was definitely some trial and error but overall it was fun!

This video is great and I love the idea of that...!
This is awesome. Thanks for sharing!
LM Hadley thank you! Going to continue to play with resin til I get it exactly the way I want.
I just melt down old crayons, pour them into an ice cube tray, stick them in the freeze and paint them metallic pink
That’s pretty genius! Curious to see how they turned out.
Cool.
this is really cool!
I am going to try this in the near future- thank you for the inspiration! Couple of questions: 1) What did you use for the light behind the cubes? 2) Which version of Devastator do you have?
Cool!
1) It’s an IKEA dioder puck light.
2) I have the Jinbao OS KO Gravity Builder with the upgrade kit.
@@DFormers thanks! Lastly, do you remember if you just used silicone ice cube trays?
I know they are silicone molds but not sure if it’s meant for ice cubes. They are a bit thin but worked well enough if you reinforce the outsides and fill multiple cubes at once.
Awsome
Thanks!
Stop being so underrated
😊
Thank you so much! I’m doing some photo shoots with my transformers, And this will help a lot!
Awesome! Happy to help! I’ve been wanting to take some better photos of my stuff, just have to set everything up which is always the challenge.
Yeah I have the same problem, but my Waspinator thankfully has wide feet so he stands up fine! Same with my Starscream, the others not so much, so I’m trying to make little stands out of cardboard to put their feet in, I’ve made one and its working good! It’s not the prettiest but I’m gonna paint it!
The slightest thing knocks them over!
In my other video I use something called Instamorph to essentially create a way to peg my figures into the bases. You might want to give it a try.
I will have to try that out! I also have just found your dynamic posing videos, which seem to be exactly the sort of thing I’m looking for! Thank you again for making excellent content!
I'm going with Printing them in crystal clear resin, masking them and painting them with UV Reactive paints to make them subtly glow
That’s an intriguing approach. I’m assuming you mean 3D print them? Wonder if they have glow-in-the-dark 3D filament?
@@DFormers i'm going with a resin printer, as they make then that are transparent, they really look nice
Nice! I’ve been really curious about resin printers. I need to research more about them.
You Know I Tried To Make Energon Cubes But Failed Haha, Thank You For This Video It Might Help Me.^^
I'm far from an expert. If anything you can use my video to avoid some of the mistakes I made. I'll eventually try it again but using a different kind of epoxy that can accommodate a thicker poor.
great idea.. good work .. are you on instagram
thanks, sorry just facebook.
Do you have an Instagram account. Would like to follow you
I don’t have one. Maybe I’ll make one in the future. I do have a Facebook page though. You can find me there.
