Now people can understand what Ufotable meant by taking the animation to the next level. the castle scene looked almost photo realistic, their CGI usage. Ufotable just flexing a small piece of their power.

Demon slayer is one of the only shonen anime that doesn't have either special healers or technology to heal people faster so it's nice seeing it actually take time for people to heal or stay wounded
But the demons can regenerate as fast as a flash
Doesn't change the fact that there are some injuries they should have died from like Inosuke being stabbed in the heart (calling BS on him "shifting" his organs lol) or Tanjiro being stabbed in the jaw.

Douma taking each and every opportunity to troll Akaza is so funny to me. "Oh yeah. I'm letting him hit me. Getting the job first but not getting promoted before me must really suck. I can't believe he's not as strong as me either. My poor friend." Also, you really see the difference between the Upper and Lower Moons in this meeting. When the Lower Moons were summoned, they kept their heads bowed the whole time and were sweating bullets. When the Upper Moons were summoned, even as Muzan was getting angry and talking down to them, they were pretty chill about it.

I can clarify that the dude in Tanjiro's dream isn't the same one in Uppermoon 1. Uppermoon meeting is dope as expected of ufotable. Probably in next episode they might clear the doubt that Tanjiro doesn't have any kind of relation with that red hair guy.

I have a strange theory after watching this. What if Tanjiro's family descends from that one guy who terrified Muzan, to the point where the blood within the demon siblings was giving them flashbacks, and he has sought to turn the bloodline over the years. Upper One is clearly from that family, and it's possible that Muzan actually wasn't trying to kill Tanjiro's family at all that night--he could have just injected his blood into all of them, killing all but Nezuko incidentally. Also, if Tanjiro's family comes from a demon slayer line, what if Upper One was a demon slayer who was turned? It's entirely possible that he's like Tanjiro, in that he can use Sun Breathing, while also having Nezuko's strength/speed and burning blood demon art. That would be a terrifying enemy.

The people I watch with haven’t read and I’ve messed up before and accidentally spoiled when they are trying to figure things out so I basically do the same thing now. Just sit and listen.

A lot of things bout this first episode I loved!
1. If you couldn’t tell by my pfp, Yoriichi is definitely one of my top favorite manga characters out of the thousands I’ve read. Heck, I even got my ears pierced in 2021 just to cop the earrings he wears(they broke last month💀)
2. This ep shows one of the many reasons why Akaza is right behind Yoriichi as my favorite characters. Kokushibo’s presence quite literally visibly intimidated him beyond reality and Akaza *still* threatened him *to his FACE*
3. I hate that so many girl reactors are simping for Douma already..like if Akaza, Kokushibo, and MUZAN don’t even like him, that should be the reddest flag ever
4. IM SO MAD I FORGOT THEY GOT BAKUGO’s VA TO DO GENYA🤣🤣🤣🤣 I’d know that “Shine!” Anywhere🤣🤣🤣
