That navy barkcloth top is quite popular - it also gets a lot of compliments when I wear it - most people want to know where they can get it and I'm like "oh I made it myself" :-)

Looks great with the brown belt:) That rainbow stripe monetary is great too, the print is just so bold and summery:) I have a cotton jersey rainbow print but in a much smaller stripe. I love the bold stripes in your fabric:)
Thanks Rikki! That one shoulder dress has been getting a lot of wear because of how incredibly comfortable it is. I have found that I can tighten the shoulder cut out and wear it braless just fine which is a godsend during very hot days!

In most cases if I used far more fabric than what is reccommended on the pattern envelope then I will mention it, otherwise the fabric requirements of the individual patterns stand. I always include links to the pattern in the description box in case anyone is interested in a particular pattern. As for how long it takes - I am not too keen to say that because I am very fast and efficient in how I sew plus I have the luxury of a designated sewing space which contributes to how fast I can make a garment. I would never want anyone to feel like in order to make something it has to be in the same timeframe that I make mine. I am not a very patient person when it comes to sewing - I have a vision of what I want and pour all and any free time into getting it done. I have friends who have just as much joy in what they make by taking it at a slower pace and perhaps months to finish the same pattern. I hope that makes sense. Hila. x
I love all of your makes! Rookie question, how did you match the side seams on the Moneta? I’m guessing it has something to do with taking the seam allowance into account????
That's right Joyce! You pencil in your seam allowance and mark the stripe points so you can cut at the same points. Takes longer to do but sometimes the effect is worth it. :-).

On your one shouldered dress maybe you could tack the neck seam to the little tie and then not worry about it slipping? I really love that though. I go to Pheonix,AZ quite a bit to visit my aunt = HOT and that would be a great dress for there. I have a caftan but that's too hot with the long sleeves and covers too much. And yes, wow on your Moneta dress

The rainbow striped fabric from Fledgers is fabulous! This is the second make I seen made out of it; I want some. Beautiful make out it, and altering the direction of the stripes is a great touch. The peplum tops are my favorite, wearing them with and without a tie or belt; I like them all.

I love all of these, especially that one armed dress! You look good in everything you make with perfect fitting. How do u find the time to do so much? Especially w kiddies to care for... Do u work full time too? I see u have a serger. Does that save time...?
Thanks Diane! I could write a whole essay about MAKING the time to sew. A serger definitely makes thing faster but also being super organised helps as does having a dedicated sewing cave. I think I will do a video to answer this question!
