Hey Scott!! Absolutely love the dry fly action; just an amazing thing to watch these fish explode on top like that. So glad to see that you two had a great day on the water and i also hope that you did well for yourself turkey hunting. Thanks for sharing and God bless you.✝️
Good morning Mike! God is good! Fishing great, but the turkey hunting has been tough, but I appreciate the challenge. Hope the Bushkill is being good to you. Hope to get back there in a few weeks. Going on my 9 day Fishing vacation next week, should have some good footage for everyone. Thanks for watching and commenting. God bless you too.
Thanks for the timetable.. as I usually head for the stream right after seeing your videos, lol. I need to make it back there as i got my butt kicked there 2 yrs ago..
Hey Scott Just finished your last TWO videos lol and they were really enjoyable. As I said once before; you are definitely the Master Caster :) It's amazing how you place your fly such a long distance with the perfect drag [the reach cast is executed so well] Those trout were nice sizes on a dry fly. Always a treat to watch you and your 'buds' out on the water Thanks again and can't wait for more vids All the best and God bless Chuck S.
Hi Chuck! Thank you for your kind words. Practice, practice, practice casting, most times , getting into a good position to execute is vital for the presentation. Glad you enjoyed it. Appreciate you watching and commenting. God bless you too.
God bless you too Richard! If I’m brightening up your or anyone else’s day, that’s the best I can ask for. Glad you enjoyed it. Appreciate you watching and commenting.
Awesome video Scott. Certainly was a great example of how easy it is to go back-and-forth from nymphing to dry fly fishing. Was a great day on Penns! Thanks for your hard work in putting these videos out .
Yessir Mr. Bob! I’m resigned to the fact that my one knee needs a little help nowadays, so I’ll use a wading staff on the tougher streams, better safe than sorry, and I’ve been sorry one too many times in the past. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Hi Jeff! Interesting that they were keying in on the caddis and not the March Browns as much. I did learn that what I thought were Isonychias in the evening were actually Black Quills, learned that Penns is one of the few streams that have them. Yes, an amazing stream! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Precision! I’m hoping to get back up there in the next few weeks. I haven’t caught a fish on top yet this year. I’m jealous. But this is the next best thing! Great video. Thanks Scott!!
That’s a skilled fly fisherman right there showing you how to pick fish off using different techniques! Great work Scott, nice fish landed , and definitely looked like fun session! Gotta love that double trouble, caught me some nice trout with that fly ! Yea I totally agree when there sippin on caddis it can drive you crazy , but definitely nice work on top ! Tight lines buddy!
Oh man! Thank you very much for the kind words. Honestly, I always felt, presenting a mayfly was much easier than a caddis, most times the fish are taking the caddis emerger, but sometimes we get lucky if they’re taking the still adult on top, but that’s usually NOT the case. Thankfully this day, the fish were cooperative with our patterns and presentations. Also tyed me up some more of the double troubles. Appreciate you watching and commenting.
Scott! Talk about a Smallmouth on a diet! HA!, LOL!! Great video Buddy! Last week I caught my first Crappie on the fly rod after a couple of rainbows! Been very interesting getting to know the waters in Tennessee! They were hitting "Apple Caddis" last week! Anyway, good luck with the Turkey Hunt! Looking forward to the net post!
Hi Dave! Smallmouth thought he was a trout. Ha, guess he thought, if you can’t beat ‘em, might as well join ‘em. Have fun in TN. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Double trouble and Perdigon tandem rig is a absolute deadly combo! Pounding trout this year with em wild and stockers keep using em you will be Satisfied good video scott
Hi Burton! Ha, What do know! Go figure! I do like catching smallmouths also , as far as size, fight harder than a trout. Thanks for watching and commenting.

yo scott, great video from penns. nymphing and dries landed you some really nice browns. gotta plan a trip out there after we get back from potter trip. so that ferruled liter really casts well switching to dries, the drift looks really good for you. gonna try that up in potter on pine and firstfork. we leave the 18th, for 10 day trip. hope the turkey"s are co-operating for you to, those things can be tough. ok, best of luck and hopefully we can get out somewheres after our potter trip. take er easy scott.

Saw you caught some on the double trouble....I've found the fish really like it in north central Pa, catch a lot on it on Pine also, not so much on the Tully...
Hey Phil! I have more luck on the Tully in Winter on the bigger nymph patterns, not so much in season. Good on Penns and the Delaware year round, good supply of stoneflies in both waterways. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Oh yes, explosive rises, but personally, mayflies easier to fish, but I got a lot of experience on the Tully with caddis, so bring it on! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Great video hopefully can get to penns this year before it’s to hot ..but hey me and my dad would love to meet you up at the Delaware we’re going June 2nd it’s a Friday our last trip to go got canceled because of rain hoping it’s good this time
Thank you very much! I’m actually up on the Delaware right now for 4 days, two days left. I probably won’t be going up that soon again. First week of June is a great time, it’s been a little bit of a circus up here, but caught enough decent fish for a good video in a couple weeks. Stay tune! Appreciate you watching and commenting.
Hey Scott, I’ve been watching a lot of you’re videos lately and have been learning a great deal about fly fishing from them so thank you. I’m going up to Penns for the first time at the end of June what flies would you suggest?
Hi Sean! Thank you very much. End of June, same flies as now, Isonychia dry and nymph, both size 10 and 12, tan or olive caddis size 18-20, always BWOs size 18-22, Globugs, pheasant tails and haresears size 18, and perdigons size 18 blue, flashy light olive, black, ants size16. That should get you into some fish. Good luck and have fun!

I also use an but am just reaching out. You turned me onto Furled Leaders and I am sold. Love that method. Keep up the good work.
Hello Hank! In this video I’m using my 10ft/4wt G Loomis NRX+, from April through November I love using this rod because I can nymph very well with it, plus switch over to dries and comfortably dry fly cast with accuracy. From December through March I like my 10.5ft-11ft rods because I’m mainly just nymphing that time of the year. I do use shorter rods at times for more stream specific situations. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Hey Scott! Great day on The water. Fun topwater action. Nice browns earlier in the video .Are they all stocked bows and brookies farther down the line? Thanks for the video.
Hi Dale! Downstream, some stocked browns and bows, but still plenty of wild brownies and brookies. Upstream mostly all wild. Glad you enjoyed it. Appreciate you watching and commenting.
