      And now they are over priced.
      And weren’t that much when they were new.

    Saw my 64 Falcon and my 65 EH Holden in that lot (well, the same models). Should never have sold them. Worth a fortune now 😅

    "The authorities have tried _everything!"_ (Like tearing up tram tracks and burning the trams, subsidising the motor industry, delaying road projects, blocking airport railway lines, short changing the railways, granting permission to build "car suburbs"...shall I go on?)

    Am I blind? Where are sideview mirrors?

    • @andrewthornhill7042
      @andrewthornhill7042 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, they aren't there. Until the late 1960s, passenger-side mirrors were an optional extra. In Australia, this is the left-hand side.

      Back then, people only looked forward...never backwards 🤣

      (Also note that 1960s cars had fewer blind spots through the glass...they've now shot back in time to the late 1930s where great swathes of steel block your view.)

    I thought the trams were removed from Sydney's streets to solve the traffic congestion they caused? Funny how the solution then (as has been forever) is to 'build more roads'. How about investing in comprehensive public transport - and not selling parts off to the private sector.

    Well may I say we had a different Australian National Anthem back then . We are the Lucky Country in Australia and lest we forget
    "The Lucky Ones Get Taught"
    and arrive alive at the G.
