how was it possible for the top angler to catch 10,755 pikeminnows in 5 months? That would be about 72 keepers per day without missing a day and that's if you fish 12 hours per day. and catch 6 keepers per hour.
@@KainOutdoors thank you for the reply. the math just doesn't add up though. Hard to fish 150 days straight with no days off for 12 hrs a day and average 72 keepers each day. Maybe catching them year round and stocking them, commercial nets who knows.
@@rolandgarcia9140 I dont know. i talked to the checkers and they say some guys have 100+ days. That can make up for some of the days off. Maybe husband wife team? I wish I got half those numbers. My best day so far is 21. Caught 12 out of one spot in a couple hours in a kayak so I think it could be possible if you run and gun it but maybe Im just a sucker for the dream of it.
@@rolandgarcia9140 The top guy has been in the top placement for many years now. they are a Russian or Ukrainian family that fish together is the rumor I hear floating around. No idea as to their techniques but i'd imagine they have multiple poles in the water and multiple on stand by just ready to cast out when they bring a fish on the boat they will cast a new line before even dealing with the fish they just brought on. idk tho. see u all out next season tho!!!!!
Mostly use nightcrawlers. I have good luck with chicken liver and salmon eggs when I can get them but they are much harder to keep on the hook. Little fish pick it off fast and both are messy.
Dude…I’m absolutely salivating for May 1 2024!!!!!
I just bought a BKC 13 kayak and I’m heading out from Az to Washington for this !!!!!
Good work man.
Hope you catch a tagged one!!
Thank you. I hope so also.
Keep it up man.
Looks like way fun!
It is. Pretty cold and long hours though.
Hey man I saw your live well for your kayak, if you dont mind me asking what size of both did you use to not puncture the cooler?

They have been doing it a long time and know many spots. Basically live on their boat and fish 24 hours a day. I wish I knew the secrets myself.

What are you using for bait?

How are you rigging your worms?
How many did you end up with?
10 that night
Nice video mate. Do you still raise meat rabbits by any chance? And how are your girls and wife doing? :)
Family is good. No rabbits now. Still keep chickens.
@@KainOutdoors Great to hear my guy. Hope you’re keeping well
