Welcome back 😊 Great episode again, been waiting to see another fan who's happy to just see how things progress rather than dive into wild theories and abuse for the show that's literally a "mystery" show. I love how there's mistakes made on all sides and that everyone has their own justification for what they did regardless of wether it's truly the right choice.
Sol made mistakes as a Jedi, killed the mom (unarmed), had attachment to Osha, but immediate regret, didn't attack Koril, wanted to tell the Council. Small mistakes, (along with everyone else except Kelnaca) built up can become too much to contain.
Yes. Sacrificed, many were, but in the end, the twins were saved. They were the most important evidence needed to prove the vergence in the Force. The "noble mission," then, was a success... from a certain point of view.
Ummm, no. Mother Come On I Wanna Lay Ya turned in to a force demon and attacked a child! The cover up is the fault of Carrie Ann Moss Windu. Throughout this episode, the Jedi used the force for knowledge and defense from the Commune of Marxist Space Witches. Thanks to incompetent writing, the Jedi are vindicated. GOOD GUYS ALWAYS WIN!
The hyperspace disaster that Indara was talking about in Acolyte episode 7. It was in the book Star Wars High Republic Light of the Jedi & Into the Dark. Where you can learn that all life on some planets was built in this event. Vernestra was alive at that time and because she is more connected to the force and when she travels through hyperspace she tends to have pain/"nausea". You could say that it is something similar to when Darth Nihilus in Star Wars by Republic vacuum cleaners the life from the planets. Better to read it or at least watch some lore video about it.
Louise, although I'm sure it's appreciated, you never owe any of us an apology for dealing with the day-to-day of life. As long as you're safe & happy, the reactions will come when they're meant to (I'm just glad you weren't spoiled with what happened) Keep on being genuine.

Poor Kelnacca. He must have felt so guilty about attacking his friends on Brendok. It wasn’t his fault, he was possessed by the witches. But none of the Jedi tried to console him, which we he decided to live alone. So he wouldn’t hurt anyone again. Plus I think he let the stranger kill him.
and if we're taking anything wookiee culture from legends, the idea of madclaws (wookiees that use their claws to harm others) are almost always sent into exile, or exile themselves, hence why Kelnacca was so isolated.
According to some, that "pop" song at the end is titled "The Power Of Two", written especially for the show. I found it convenient that Sol also saved the one that DIDN'T see him kill their mother. Welcome back!
I loved this episode. And i love Sol so much as a character. He messed up big time lol and he probably shouldn't have been a Jedi with the issues he has, but such a well written character. There were no actual signs that the twins were in danger, and the Jedi had no right to interfere in another cultures rituals or ideas. But Sol allowed his emotions to get the better of him and convinced himself of a danger that didnt exist and in doing so murdered their mother, and caused the death of their tribe, and then blamed it all on a innocent young girl.
13:38 fun fact about Wookiees if they use their claws with the intent to harm others they become a pariah and hailed as mad claw basically they’re dishonored and disgraced so kalnacca unwittingly dishonored himself and went into hiding out of regret
Acolyte all-flashback episode 7 was very good. I liked the references to the hyperspace catastrophe that wiped out life on some planets; of which in the last episode Jedi master Vernestra has pain/nausea from traveling through hyperspace due to her strong connection to the force. The fact that Sol was an emotional Jedi like Dooku, Anakin and Quigon Jinn was seen in quite a big way. The turn of the plot, who is responsible for the death of the entire Clan of these Witches who follow the path of Bogan = Darkness in magic, they were quite similar to the Witches of the Sisterhood of the Night from Dathomir, where Darth Maul also comes from. The fights were great, the choreography was great and seeing two Jedi fight against a possessed Wookie Jedi was great. But most of all, normally, just like Mother Cora, I felt this emotional pain in my heart. When Sol killed her partner, co-mother of two children and the love of her life, mother Aniseya, in front of her eyes. The destruction reminded me of something similar to when the Jedi destroyed the entire planet of Korriban, where the original Sith race came from.
I don't think he would have been able to under so much pressure. We never saw anyone lift anyone in the original or prequel movies. I imagine it's harder than an inanimate object
@@HereAfterNow um Dooku did it in Revenge Of The Sith he picked up Kenobi and tossed him across the room the in universe reason Sol was tired from his fight with Kelnacca and wasn't thinking straight the out of universe reason it was just part of the story
So happy to finally see LouiseJulie again reacting to The Acolyte. Glad you are well and LA errands were ironed out. Anticipating finale reaction. All the best SW fan.
It's so nice to have you back. Now, unfortunately, I still have not seen these two episodes yet. I'm having problems with our shared Disney+. I'll catch up soon.
Louise I think you'll agree that Sol is a pretty powerful Jedi, that being said why couldn't he just yank them both to him like he did Osha in the ice cave when she almost fell??
He was super exhausted from his fight with Kelnacca, also in emotional anguish after killing the witch. I think it was a mix of not thinking clearly, and not wanting to risk dropping them over the gap.
In the scene with Aniseya's mother, when Mae was asking for help, we had the opportunity to see some kind of magic where Anaseya was spitting and it also affected Mae. Do you think she was trying to teleport Osha.???? The hyperspace disaster that Indara was talking about in Acolyte episode 7. It was in the book Star Wars High Republic Light of the Jedi & Into the Dark. Where you can learn that all life on some planets was built in this event. You don't think that the fortress has collapsed. Due to the fact that the fire damaged the electronics and its gradual overloading and short-circuiting then caused the reactor explosion. And the oil burned similarly to the Olympic fire, which in reality burns like this even on a stone.?
Torbin is like the kid who says they're tired & just wants to go home after like 5 minutes of going somewhere. Should Kelnacca be considered a Madclaw if he wasn't in control, who knows? Indara was laying down the law but Sol jumped the gun or rather lightsaber. Mother Aniseya was a treasure & will be missed. Wait where's Mother Koril? Sol definitely said "SHIT!" as he makes more mistakes. Wasn't expecting that song at the end
I don't think Indara kicking the Witches off of Kelnacca's brain server caused them to die outright. More likely they passed out, not like Sol had time to stop and check for a pulse, and the fire claimed their lives.
This and the next episode were quite interesting with the back story and where it could potentially go next if it is picked up for a season 2. Not an Andor, or Ahsoka or Kenobi level series. but not bad. :)

I know you love Sol of course. I love a lot of things about him, the actor did such a fantastic performance, but man in this episode Sol sure did overstep his reach. Young Sol unfortunately is so sympathetically fallible honestly and I could imagine myself making similar mistakes. I used to see parents smoking around their young children so often as they walked up to buy a ticket when I would work the door at a movie theater and I'd just so badly want to yell at them to value their child's health better.

It’s like how police are taught to aim center mass, so “aiming to disarm” and stuff is just Hollywood nonsense. Jedi train to lift with inanimate objects, not sentient and unpredictable beings, and when it’s life and death, you revert to your training. Once he had a grip on the two platforms, it’s like moving a heavy couch and needing the re-adjust your grip. You have to set the couch down first to do it. But had he done that there, the girls would’ve both fallen.

Once he had a grip on the two platforms, it’s like moving a heavy couch and needing the re-adjust your grip. You have to set the couch down first to do it. But had he done that there, the girls would’ve both fallen.
If Star Wars ever does a “What If?” style series, I’d love to see them examine that question: What if Sol had ignored his training and caught the girls instead of the platform? But as it is, what the show did there made perfect sense.
@@jasonmarbach ?? All he did was ignore his training during this series! How many times did Indara warn him? Like come on man, that's your point that does not make any sense to me.
@@MiniMaxi7 Man, we’re talking about a split second decision that was made instinctively more than anything else. Ask a cop if you’ve never been in a life or death moment and don’t believe me. In a situation like that, you revert to your training.. That’s just what humans do.
BLUF: TOORRRBINN JEEENNKINNS! (At least Nuna legs taste like chicken) First the small bits of "good" and the elements they are are definitely getting right.. then the choices that just land flat or nonsensical... Clearly the show has at least 1x OLD School (Pre-Zahn resurgence) EU/Legends fan, as now in addition to the Tynnan species, the Corporate Sector world of Bonadan (The Padawan's homeworld) is Canonized. They keep tapping the Brian Daley Han Solo novels, and that is a good thing. The Jedi Service Corps: Explorer Corps would certainly be involved in planetary surveys, and a Jedi Team WOULD be called in to investigate a world on record as ravaged to lifelessness 100 years ago by the Hyperspace disaster, now verdant and flourishing. It would be the logical next step. A "Vergence" in the Force was NEVER meant to Refer exclusively to magical force baby creation. That is why QGJ put it forward as "A Vergence" not "The Vergence." And yes, the whole world is large, and the 7 weeks have probably been spent hopping the ship from site to site, and using the caravan to conduct a zoned grid search around each survey hub. The planet was previously inhabited so residual construction and even operational power sources like that of the Mine fortress occupied by the Witches would not be unheard of. If they were not running an active landing beacon they could easily be missed. Investigating a force nexus would certainly be a proper jedi's job and not that of the dropout students who make up the survey corps As I have said before, yes, all Nightsiaters are Witches, but not all Witches are Nightsisters, Dathomir or not. They clarify these are NOT Nightsisters and are some "Other Force Cult". Symbionts are named in TPM in the speech QuiGon gives to exposition Midichlorians. These are not new. What is new is them "DNA Typing" the Midichlorians themselves. It can have a pass, and having an unnatural duplicate is reasonably suspicious. Twin's DNA may be identical, but the bacterium in their gut flora are unique. All that said, if this was the homework assignment of "Do the Rashemon thing" they definitely fail. They have done the hidden fortress and the 7 samurai multiple times each, so why not try something new? Rashemon has unreliable narrators all giving their own perspective on events, Some accurate some false and some deceptive. The truth lies Somewhere in between all of them. Contradictions between perspectives are perfectly fine. Contradiction internal to each narrative are acceptable if they provide clues to the truth, but not when they are just patently unhinged from the character's circumstance. Unless that was a coal mine or a shale deposit (Not Primarily found in volcanic calderas) stone still doesn't burn. I can believe that a salvaged facility with +100-year-old wiring can suffer a catastrophic failure If it shorts out the power generation systems... So Let's say the Transformers, Capacitors, or Batteries started blowing up. Still a bit of a stretch to destroy the entire stone fortress because the kid was playing with fire. I have been the kid who caught the living room on fire while scorching the corners off newspapwrs, but that was a carpet. There are still turn of the last century Buildings that are condemned due to substandard wiring and fire hazard.... But it is still the building that will burn if an electrical fire starts it, not a catastrophic electrical fire with no fuel. They turned Sol into a Karen that works for Social Services and wants to take your kida away for you being Space Satanists. They turn Torbin into all the "bad kids" invited into Wonka's choclate factory after a saucy lady offers him space candy. I do not begrudge getting rattled after being dominated, But two Knights and a Master should have been able to stop him from invading the mine a second time. They already had their evidence with the blood samples. Making Kelnacca a berserk murder monster under the effects of [Dominaton] is a Fair play And reinforces the notion why there are so few Wookiee Jedi. But if anybody was going to be suicidal over their misseteps it would be Kelnacca for breaking the Wookiee "no claws" Taboo all over Torbin's face. That at least explains HIS Hermitage of shame. Indara can Subdue a berserk Wookiee in hand to hand combat but still gets killed by a child with a knife. We already know the jedi can multitask their telekinesis (Luke does Crates, R2, and stacked rocks in a 1-arm handstand.) If two catwalks are too Heavy, just grab both children. (Even though size matters not.) Turning into an incorporeal smoke monster like Sylvanus from Warcraft is No way to indicate you were intending to comply with the request. Turning into an incorporeal smoke monster also generally makes you immune to physical attacks. Guess Sol made the will save against [Force Illusion]. We still Don't know what happened to Koril After she turned into a smoke monster to possess the coven and coordinate the group ritual casting of [Domination] on Kelnacca. No body = No death. The change in perspective doesn't explain anything we didn't already know, It doesn't justify the jedi's shame, They don't explain the mystery No one's trying to solve, And the double down on things that were already a given.
Hope You had a merry Summer! What an illuminating episode. The classic example of nobody listening and everyone acting, believing that Their side knows best. Sol messed up. Big time. Along with Torbin Who was played like a puppet and who's desires to go home were exploited, and no doubt amplified, by the Witch's Magick. Did anyone else get this feeling while watching?
If people are enjoying this show then I'm glad, but its just bad. Bad writing, poor motivations, and very weak story construction. Torbin did *nothing* that justified him killing himself. NO Padawan qualified to go on a mission like that would be so undisciplined as to rush off on their master just to get back to Coruscant. In Ep 3 it looked like May started the fire; and we found out May started the fire. In Ep 3, it looked like the Jedi broke into the Temple; and we found out they broke into the temple

(At least Nuna legs taste like chicken)
First the small bits of "good" and the elements they are are definitely getting right.. then the choices that just land flat or nonsensical...
Investigating a force nexus would certainly be a proper jedi's job and not that of the dropout students who make up the survey corps
As I have said before, yes, all Nightsiaters are Witches, but not all Witches are Nightsisters, Dathomir or not.
So
Let's say the Transformers, Capacitors, or Batteries started blowing up.
(Even though size matters not.)
Turning into an incorporeal smoke monster like Sylvanus from Warcraft is No way to indicate you were intending to comply with the request.
Te amo
I just watched the final trailer for Deadpool and Wolverine and was more emotionally drawn in with that 2 minute trailer than this whole show
Love your reaction. It was everyones fault.
As fives once said "the acolyte its..... finally over"
How dare you twist fives this way
@jasonmarbach hey I'm just repeating what palpatine told me
If people are enjoying this show then I'm glad, but its just bad.
I didn't like Acolyte show but, you seem to have enjoyed it, I'm glad you liked it
The return of the shills

@@Recrussio you're the one who keeps coming back to my video time and time again to check up and comment. Seems a little obsessive to me tbh
so much for the power of many smh. how can qimir kill kelnacca so easily seeing how strong the wookie was and that small jecki gave qimir cracks? should've had torbin killed easily then kelnacca fight qimir like jecki did instead.
