I lived in Bali two years and Nyepi is something that is really important for me to have experienced. A day of internal reflection and really being part of the culture. I recommend going through it one year.

Hi Christian. My most amazing dive was off Anse Chastnet beach St Lucia Caribbean. This was a night Dive which is so different than the usual day daytime dive. I turned my lights off and it was pitch black. The night dive was spooky but great.
My tip would be to experience Nyepi one day. In my opinion you can't call Bali your home if you didn't experience this amazing spiritual day. So many foreigners decide to leave Bali during Nyepi, which is weird, since most of them love Bali for their spirituality.
I thought the same, but these guys don’t look too spiritual to me. Two days without internet is a death sentence to them😅

Usually Wi-Fi is even still available, only the mobile network is down. I already experienced Nyepi two times here on Bali and love it. The longer I'm living on Bali, the more I'm noticing that Christian has no idea about the culture, the language and the people here. He is living in a Bule bubble like too many people here...

But I enjoy Nyepi so much, and to be honest I wished we have it two timer per year. Don't get me wrong, we are out and exploring nature of Bali all the time, but some time of peace is welcomed at least once per year 😊😊
Me too. With no light pollution, the stars are absolutely amazing on Nyepi if it's a clear night without clouds. This year the sky was perfect. The MILKY WAY was so bright it looked artificial. Seriously you can only enjoy this once a year.
On a separate note, I was assaulted in Bali believe it or not! Please be careful everybody.

Spent a few days in Lombok in 2019 and we loved it. The people were delightful and a bit sketchy. Tiu Kelep was closed though. The earthquake blocked the trail.

I've had the same experience with scuba diving. My mask filled with water and I just panicked 🤪 I was only 14 at the time though so I've learnt to deal with unexpected circumstances better by now 😅

I went to that waterfall in Lombok 2 years ago it was stunning, there is a really nice hotel that has a view of the first waterfall and of mount Rinjani there as well!
Do you remember the name of the village?
@@annetnedelec1313 it’s near mount Rinjani and the waterfall is called Sendang Gile Waterfall and the hotel were little huts that cost about $20 CAD a night that had a view of the waterfall mount Rinjani and some other little mountains!
