Not really. What did you learn from this, aside from what someone else is eating at some point in their lives? It's obviously not going to affect YOUR eating, calories, macros etc. You are not him, everything is relative, we all eat, but we respond differently to what we eat, when we eat and how much we eat, metabolism, allergies, whatever. After watching this short, are you now going to eat the same bowl of rice, turkey topped with all sorts of shit before a workout, and a sandwich after, assuming you even work out at all?
@@B.Whittaker Wakes them up to the reality that there is nothing they can take away from the video? It's not condescending or pessimistic to rule out worthless information on an individual level. Everyone is their own entity and will not share the same solutions to their problems, different metabolism, allergies, autoimmune disorders etc. A turkey sandwich doesn't save the world.
@Kovac_ So... because bodies are different theres.. "Nothing you can take away from the video"? Honestly I think that speaks more to the way you personally process information than anything else. Someone could easily take the information presented here and adapt it to fit their routine. It's odd that you're aware enough to understand the variety of body situations, and yet somehow you also feel comfortable telling people what is and isn't valuable to them.
Bro where have you been all my life. Thank you for the science. These shorts are absolute bangers dude. Definitely going to start using these techniques. Thank you!
Based on my experience, I have overall better performance, when I am hungry, which is why I train in the morning. But this is just because, we are all different and we gotta look what works best for us. Great advice tho.
I’ve always thought the concept of not eating or only having a protein shake or a small bowl of yogurt for a pre-workout was going to cause your workouts to be so tiring and you can’t work as hard. I’m glad you proved that to be true, I’ve tried working out on an empty stomach and I was so tired and ended up leaving earlier than normal because I was even more hungry.
omg how satisfying when the end of the video loops perfectly into the start thanks for sharing Jeff.. I just purchased your program and am feeling highly motivated. I hope you are happy and well living your best canada life
Finding your channel was the best thing I’ve done. Any advice for me, who wakes up at 5am to train, yet I’m never hungry before a work out and I don’t have time to let it digest?
Extremely well executed short-form content. This is perfect from start to finish. It was honestly shocking, this should be the gold standard for fitness shorts.
that pre workout meal is almost exactly the same macros that i eat every day four times per day. and the post workout meal is that same meal only made with 10% mince rather than 22% mince. this video singlehandedly affirmed me that both variations of my food is just fine because i started stressing out am i having too much fat in that 22% mince variation. but it's so much cheaper to buy than the 10%, and let's be honest, better too haha! but the latter has such good amount of protein and low fats that it would be very good to be able to eat that for every meal for every day. 530kcal with 40g protein is ultimately better than 630kcal with 30g of protein. but yeah the cost is double as well haha. leaves bit more room for a sugary drink aswell, the one vice regarding food that i seem to be unable to shake. i don't need to drink sugar daily anymore though, which is very good. i used get most of my calories from sugary drinks haha i was so hooked because I didn't eat properly at all, my body only ever craved sugar. depression and addictions and stuff. i didn't gain weight because of it though, i rather lost weight because i ate so little.(good amount of muscle yes, but probably atleast 20kg of fat in about 7 years aswell. i was not good in yeeears).
This dude is great. I'm really enjoying listening to you and learning more. I started as a personal trainer this year, and I want to be as knowledgeable as possible.
Hey Jeff, there’s evidence for the anabolic window being 3 hours for males (hence why they say don’t stress about it), but females is around that 30 min, esp when they are at pre-menopause and menopause
I have 6 eggs and 250g beef mince in the morning with a coffee. It's fast to make, decently small of a portion provided I mix it all whilst cooking, it gives me great energy, and it's so easy to eat.
As someone that is morbidly obese and trying to lose weight while building muscle, I just have an apple or banana for breakfast a half hour before my workout. I do some functional and weight training, then do about 20 minutes of cardio on the elliptical. Then wait an hour, and drink a protein shake. On my off days, I make sure to do at least a 30 minute walk, up to 70 minutes. Not sure if what I’m doing or ok, but it seems to work for me. My weight has started to come down and I feel stronger. I’m assuming I’ll start eating like this when I’m closer to my weight goal.
I'm not sure if 95% of comments are bots, or everyone is literally licking your shoes off the crap you stepped in, just to catch your eye, even if it means you're forgetting their existence mid stare. The editor did a great job. His shorts have better production quality than the majority of fitness youtube tbh.
What i like about Jeff's program is that it doesn't feel like a diet. I have never felt like i was restricting my diet.
