Great shear. TY Do you prefer the beam to be wide or narrow ? I like the wide for camp and working. Any suggestions on wide beam. I tested a few of the ones on amazon and thay are near garbage. Yellow strip in rubber strap.
Once your eye’s “visual purple” has adjusted to a dark area, a bright light trashes your night vision. A good red light mode is great for night for many around the camp needs.
Thank you! For most of the video, I was wearing the Petzl RL Swift headlamp. For the red, blue, and green light stuff, I was wearing the Petzl Aria 1 RGB - Jake
Good information. Please note that lithium ion batteries are rechargeable but primary lithium (manganese, sulfur dioxide) batteries are disposable.
Really great video and explanation of the more technical aspects of headlamps.
Thanks for the comment and feedback! 🔥

Interesting, never knew this
Lux isn't mentioned, but candela almost always is and that's basically the same thing.
Thanks for the comment!
Well explained and demonstrated, very helpful for selecting the right gear. Thanks.

IPX rating is also important
Didn’t sound like a fool to me. Actually it was good info. Only thing that would have made it better is to show us which headlamp he was using.
