Hey Adio_! Thanks for the easy tutorial! I was about to go NUTS trying to get this to work! More than that, I was looking for an easy and explainable way to do this and do it right! And, thanks to you, I was able to achieve that! Thank you so much for your help! I have several of the ATTINY85's and now I'm going to enjoy programming them, not to mention how much fun I'm going to have with these!
Meanwhile the URL got changed as the old project deprecated. The new project is called ATTinyCore and has more supported boards and even support for I2C, SPI, UART (via USI)
Thanks! I ran into error "avrdude: initialization failed, rc=-1" during the final sketch upload but I fixed it by connecting 10uF capacitor between RESET and GND on the Arduino Uno.
i have a problem i want a servo motor to operate in 2 different speeds with 2 diffrent clicks on button for example normal 120 degree rotation speed at single click and fast 120 degree rotation at double click using on off tactile switch using a cr123a battery.all these using a pcb or arduino in the most smallest space.is it possible?
It says: cc1.exe: error: -fno-fat-lto-objects are supported only with linker plugin. cc1.exe: error: -fno-fat-lto-objects are supported only with linker plugin. exit status 1 Compilation error: exit status 1 When I try to upload code any ideas?
hello yesterday i bought an at tiny 85 and before 5 minutes it worked fine but the last time i plugged it in(with a 8*8 matrix) i put reverse voltage by mistake and now they both dont run did i burn them?
Unfortunately you probably burnt them, I doubt the ATtiny85 has a reverse polarity preventing diode built into it. As for the LEDs they should be fine.
The chip most likely has an internal clock. Fun fact the ATmega328p actually has an internal clock however as the clock only has an accuracy of 10% an external clock is used.
When I upload arduinoISP, it give a fault. It sais: in pink: #define SERIAL Serial And than in orange: “Serial” was not declared in this scope What do I wrong?
But when you want to make something to sell (not that most people ever do) the SMD ATtiny85 is a fifth of the price and much easier to solder than a 328.
@@tonysicily2687 sure, there are always circumstances where one is a better option than another. I have used the attiny85 and even the attiny10 many times eventhough space was never a factor, but sure, each has its place

The Highlow article libraries utilize the Arduino IDE software, I'm not so sure if processing works for this application, but yes, the Arduino IDE is a derivative of processing, so search for some supporting tutorial

You just encouraged me to order ATmel Tiny85. Now I can't wait for the chip to arrive.
Same - TY!!
I've had 3 of these chips for ages and now I know how to use them so thanks😀
Nice job explaining the ATtiny85. Now I want to get one and play with it, you made it look easy!
Please upload more. This is a long break
if you hit 2x speed, its only 2 mins
Quality content + no cringe intro = sub

After a short break... does not upload for another 6 YEARS
And it’s right after his most successful by far

what about interrupt usage on the ATtiny 85? could you make a video about it?
Thanks Man, Great intro to the Arduino attiny
Beautiful presentation. Thanks.

When I try to upload code any ideas?
SPON ON! excellent video. 4 minutes....perfect.
whenever i try and upload it says "ctags pattern is missing" and doesn't work. does anyone have any ideas?

i also program the attiny85 but now i got yenkie error check double your connection please help me
Sir I have a doubt when we use atmega328p we need to use Crystal ocillator why we need not use same in attiny
85

you don't need to use one in atmega328 but the internal is 'only' at 8mhz
Is your a2 and a3 swapped sorry for the trouble
Thanks man! This really helped me out :D
Wow, this is amazing.
When I upload arduinoISP, it give a fault. It sais: in pink: #define SERIAL Serial
And than in orange: “Serial” was not declared in this scope
What do I wrong?
Great job. Super to the point.
instead of using 3 resistors, can't you just use 1 resistor on the negative pin to the cathode of the 3 LEDs...
Yes, but if 2 or more LEDs light up at the same time, one LED might see more current than the other(s) but it's unlikely to do any damage.
AWESOME! Thanks for simplifying this. I may give this a shot now.
Attiny85 is a great chip, but in DIL it is too expensive. A few dimes more gets you a Pro Mini
But when you want to make something to sell (not that most people ever do) the SMD ATtiny85 is a fifth of the price and much easier to solder than a 328.
If space is a problem and you do not need a lot of functionality the ATTINY is a much better option.
@@fatroberto3012 i agree, but as you already indicate: most of us don't 😉

Thanks Sir.
You help a lot!
No burning the bootloader?
Hola amigo, ¿cómo hacer este miesmo proyecto accionando un servo motor? saludo desde Curitiba Paraná.
Me encantó que tiene subtitulos en español
when are you coming back? :(
Sorry, I am currently studying at university, haven't got much time to make videos.
When is next...?
Thanks for this tutorial
Excellent..!
Thanks a lot , i try to use Raspberry pi pico and circuitpython to program this low cost servo motor brain ( tiny85 )
in this video, why you don't processing BurnBoothloader?

Had the same question, gonna be some unhappy bunnies....
thanks, very helpful
i am getting this:
avrdude: Device signature = 0x000000
avrdude: Yikes! Invalid device signature.
These 8 pin avr mcus are great.
Good vid!!
is used my microcontroller as a jammer
Great apprauch Thank you v much .
Thank you very much
Why 1mhz in settings? That's so slow. Attiny85 has internal clock of 8mhz.
Most people use these for battery powered projects. 8mhz uses MUCH much more power.
Never hook this up with the UNO powered one slip and you can destroy the ATtiny 85
Thanks ❤️
thanks!
这个视频真的很棒
Thank you
Can attiny 13 work, and can arduino1.8.5 work? please
This is very small break 😂😂
Prečo všetci len Arduino používajú??? Programátor + AVR Studio a viete čo robíte...
Aj s tým viem robiť, dokonca aj v assembly, len na to neexistuje rozvinutý ekosystém, v ktorom by začiatočník vedel jednoducho pracovať. Very Good!
Muito bom! 🇧🇷

thanks
thank pro...
Don't waste time
Sorry, I expected an explanation of the chip and not a project using the chip. Thumb down.
Thank you
