The acoustic intro is actually played by Jani's brother, And one of the best liner notes ever.... Guest Jani's brother, courtesy of Jani's mother. This should have been the lead single off the album of the same title but the "A&R" didn't hear a single like DOWN BOYS. So Jani went home and wrote "Cherry Pie" in a matter of minutes. Becoming their biggest hit but also in the end leaving that as a bigger Legacy than the blues based rock they were doing that stands the test of time. Cherry pie became the album title, Jani was at state fairs judging pie eating contest. RIP Jani sorry we let the industry chew you up and spit you out. You were one who did not deserve that. Also a great live band. Blew Poison off their own stage!!!
RIP Jani Lane - One of my favorite Warrant tunes. The whole album is incredibly great. This was on the Cherry Pie album from 1991. I had the CD version. ❤
I had the cassette that I played in my 1980 Ford Mustang 😂 the stereo was wroth more than the entire car. But I was a high school kid and couldn’t afford to have the CD in the car. It makes feel really old to see these young pups hearing it for the first time.
I saw Warrant a few times back in the day....they were always a great live band. when you saw them at their peak for the debut, they were one of the best live bands to see...R.I.P Jani
I get pissed whenever I mention the band Warrant and somebody says "Oh, that band with the Cherry Pie song". Warrant is so much better than that stupid song, even the band hated it. The band wanted and was told the name of this album was going to be "Uncle Tom's Cabin". Then without telling the band the record company changed it to "Cherry Pie", the band was pissed. The album was released in 1990.
Cherry Pie ia s great album, from a cool band....this song is one of my favorites since high school. Lani was a very gifted performer. Pitty he had such a hard time during his career by people in the business that should of known better, this inturn affected his life in a negative way. Look it up if you dare...
This is one of the best of 80s metal - which happens to be the zenith of human music evolution. It's all been dowhill ever since. Other best from 80s QUeensryche - I don't Believe in Love L.A. Guns - Never Enough Cinderella - If You Don't Like It (I Don't Care) Firehouse - Reach for the Sky Winger - Seventeen Ozzy - You Can't Kill Rock N' Roll Ratt - Wanted Man Whitesnake - Slow N' Easy Dokken - Burning Like A Flame.........I'm telling you.....80s were the best!
Queen live aid and bohemian rapside good luck right said Fred b52 the blood hound gang, weird all alien ant farm the off spring good luck with all of it.
Savatage is a Florida based band founded by the oliva brothers Jon and Criss Oliva the guitar player. You should do a reaction to Savatage gutter Ballet and they are an underrated band and was not so popular until they transition to The Trans-Siberian Orchestra like I said Gutter Ballet is good so you should when the crowds are gone Jesus saves and edge of thorns handful of rain and one child and the one that Trans-Siberian Orchestra took from Savatage that made them big is the instrumental called Christmas Eve Sarajevo 12//24. But all members except original singer is in Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
Idc what anyone says, but that main guitar riff hits HARD AF!!!!!
Jani Lane was a great song writer. Very under rated. Give his solo acoustic version of Bitter Pill a listen.
My favorite song of theirs.

Check into their song/video for “I saw red”.

You need to check out Hot Cherie by Hardline. Amazing band and song nobody ever talks about.....
Queen live aid and bohemian rapside good luck right said Fred b52 the blood hound gang, weird all alien ant farm the off spring good luck with all of it.
The acoustic intro was done by Jani Lane’s brother, Eric, who’s not in the band
Freaking amazing. 🤘😎🤘
1990
Try Warrant - Machine Gun
I hope you don't offense, but I've got a bit a man crush on you guys. Handsome guys. Kind of jealous about it
The song starts out with acoustic but transitions into a banjo before going into the electric guitar.
i was not a warrant fan then with the exception of this song they really wrote a killer song with this one
Jani Lane was a killer frontman and based dude its a shame Cherry Pie led to his demise
