The Air Zoo is a world-class, Smithsonian-affiliated aerospace and science museum, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, with over 100 air and space artifacts, inspiring interactive exhibits, full-motion flight simulators, indoor amusement park rides, a theater and over 100 education programs!

The Air Zoo is a fantastic museum.
Have not been there in at least 10 years.
But the SR-71 was there. As well as that huge mural around the wall. Painted by a local Michigan artist.

WTF? They had the elevator in the center of the deck lowered as an aircraft was approaching? I bet there were some changes to procedure after that.

My guess would be yhere is no audio recording. Of all the footage I've seen there usually isn't audrio

How did they recover the pilots that dropped off the deck into the drink? obviously, no helicopters in WW2. All the footage I've seen there doesn't appear to be any rescue boats?
The pilot at 7:33 looks like his head was slammed into the instrument panel/gunsight just before he went over. Thinking he may not have been conscious and couldn't didn't get out.
There were helicopters in WW2... but not on carriers. Both Germans and Americans used helicopters.

@@BlitzenSpeaks Lol thats pretty intense. I just saw an Operations Room video the other day where a group of CVEs was under fire from Japanese surface ships and yeah a few or even one hit and thats it.
