this video was truly inspiring i live in morden and i have not been able to travel by train for quite a few years due to my Siderodromophobia (fear of trains). even though this video showed a journey to morden and not from there. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!1!! i will try to get on a train tomorrow to see my friend in tooting bec. even though its only a few stops this is a massive step for me and people with my condition. videos like this show that there is no danger of travel nor reason to avoid.:)
I used to be terrified of the central line before the trains were refurbished at the front i dont know why its just they looked scary although i was young at the time.
the screech of the northern line was my favourite part of coming to central london as a kid. i also remember once when me and my aunt did the exact same journey and we timed how long it took between stations. fun project. :)
28:14 King s Cross-St.Pancras Change here for Circle,Hammersmith & City,Metroporitan,Piccadily,Victoria Line and Main Intercity and Suburban and International rail(Eurostar) Services.
I remember Angel station in the mid 1980s it was like those but became too congested so had to be re built. Before 1968 Euston bank Branch was same but that’s before my time lol 😂
I really enjoyed watching this video. Really good, shot from the right which allows viewing of tracks and trains in the opposite direction... and keeping the real London Underground sound instead of overlaying with infernal rock and roll music.
this is my next ride ;) getting the feel for it lol :) got to travel up to high barnet in the first place though when I get to london it passes the time though
Possibly 31:47 would be better time because if you all notice: out of the window the wall drops away for a while leaving a dark useless place in front of the camera. Then there is a light, the platform ends and the wall comes back against the train. You have to look hard though!
On the 1996 stock is says for example, 96026. 96 for year of manufacture, 26 being he train number in the fleet. Why does the Northern line start with 51?
er.......we are going to Edgware tube on Thursday fro up North....Where's the best place to park my car for 6 hours as we are going to Regent Street....any tips on secure Park8ng in or around Tube station in Edgware.
I hope it never does aswell because this is my favourite type of rolling stock on the entire London Underground and Ive always wanted to drive 1 ever since it 1st came out!
***** ya I forgot and originally Elephant & Castle was to be a right-hand ran station but it was objected maybe bcos it was next to Kennington and it's not far enough to switch between right-hand running and left-hand running. Borough is pretty odd in that part of the line with a top-to-bottom layout. It's idealistic layout it's not just because the narrow road above but also to make it easier to switch between right and left-hand running I think.
***** Although I still don't get it why they have to make London Bridge and Bank running with right hand. This makes that part opening on the left especially northbound haha.
Ya ikr even Kentish Town, Tufnell Park and Camden Town have a top to bottom layout too. Since. Embankment was a terminus before, it only had a loop platform but then the through service opened and the loop track is closed so northbound is on the left and southbound is on the right but is not with a top to bottom layout. And strangely they don't want to build it side by side. And about Moorgate, that's why the southbound platform curved at the south end of the platform so front doors don't open southbound and both northern line platforms are narrow because when it changes back to left hand running from bank it cannot make a too sharp curve to make a bigger island platform.
Embankment yes But waterloo I'm not sure cos it's rather strange that northbound opens on right and southbound on left maybe cos the southbound has cross-platform interchange with w & c lines? Strange huh?
I don't get it, nothing interesting but a train ride. Granted didn't see the entire hour video, but was waiting to see something cool or gripping as you say, but no :( just a fast train ride nothing more...

im a bit scared of trains too because they shake a lot
I used to be terrified of the central line before the trains were refurbished at the front i dont know why its just they looked scary although i was young at the time.
were you successful? 😄

I love Clapham Common and Clapham North with a passion, island platforms are the best!
I remember Angel station in the mid 1980s it was like those but became too congested so had to be re built. Before 1968 Euston bank Branch was same but that’s before my time lol 😂
they are quite dangerous at peak times though :/
I love London-that's so true..though the old victoria line trains felt and sounded fast too!
I really enjoyed watching this video. Really good, shot from the right which allows viewing of tracks and trains in the opposite direction... and keeping the real London Underground sound instead of overlaying with infernal rock and roll music.
My favourite line: Northern line. 😍🥰 From Edgware to Morden. 😍 I have lived at Burnt Oak and my school was at Camden Town. 😊

Great video I love the Northern line Well I would like to see some more ATO running in service
I can just imagine your joy when you dropped your arm after holding that camera to your chest for that hour.
great video mate!!
Thank you Mate :)

@@X2K9 TonyTransit kinda stole ur sound for his game…
Thank you, weirdly this makes excellent background music for study as white noise
Love your "wipes"! Here in Chicago, IL our system is into "colors" rather than names.
YOU CAPTURED THE CLOSED STATION 'CITY ROAD' ON CAMERA (31:50). For anyone else, you have to be quick because City Road had very short platforms!
22:34 South Kentish Town.
this is my next ride ;) getting the feel for it lol :) got to travel up to high barnet in the first place though when I get to london it passes the time though
Angel station is used to be a island platform. Now the platform is wide.
Yeah it was like Clapham Common and Clapham North.
Possibly 31:47 would be better time because if you all notice: out of the window the wall drops away for a while leaving a dark useless place in front of the camera. Then there is a light, the platform ends and the wall comes back against the train. You have to look hard though!
I saw that!
That must be the abounded City Road station
It would be I good to see another video with these trains running on ATO
***** IT'S A FUCKING TUBE YOU DAFT IDIOT!
Tom Jardine A TRAIN RUNS OVERHEAD YOU STUPID BUM!!
Tube Trains. Underground trains. Metro trains.
*common factor in all of those*
When this northern line train doors were beeping they were about to make that sound the same as the jubilee line!!!!!
They are the same train just with different motors and interiors
Is there a page anywhere which gives the number of minutes and seconds between each station on each line? Thanks in advance.
On the 1996 stock is says for example, 96026. 96 for year of manufacture, 26 being he train number in the fleet. Why does the Northern line start with 51?
It would be 95051
One of my trips went from High Barnet to Oval then to London Bridge then to waterloo and then back to High Barnet
thank you one more time
i do sometimes say that if i was on the central line, i'd have got home by now... the 1992 stock (and 2009 stock) is FAST!
er.......we are going to Edgware tube on Thursday fro up North....Where's the best place to park my car for 6 hours as we are going to Regent Street....any tips on secure Park8ng in or around Tube station in Edgware.
50:38 48:59 why is Clapham North and Clapham Common is different to other stations
22:34 = SOUTH KENTISH TOWN
Same as the 96 stock just different type of motor pulsing
These are really the only trains I would drive if I was a tube driver because I prefer to be on the road nowadays
i'll try do it tomorrow
Can you do the bakerloo line?
Why you did not show the platform at Kentish Town?
I was just saying that the 2009 stock seem nearly as fast as the 1992 stock. I miss using the Central Line, now it's all London Overground Class 172s.
VERY NICE!
How to identify a 1995 Tube stock's serial number?
Check infront of the train cab
95 Stocks serial number starts with "51"
Great vid
It depends on how long the train is at the station. It might be stuck there for a few minutes. You never know
If northern and jubilee lines still had yellow handles they would look the same a bit more
Have you done the jubilee line???
Which is the quickest route to take from HB to Morden? Via Bank or Charing X?
charing x
1:05:22 The train whistled when it is coming out of the Morden tunnel.
It sounds horrible when it reached the tunnel at first (between East Finchley and Archway)
How long was the ride without the jump cuts?
1995 Stock sounds alike to the 1996 Stock. Although the 95 has a better pull away.
What is a passion island
at the start, did ii just see the new picadilly line?
Nice vid. What time was this?? :)
31:50 That must be City Road station
i think so
an hour and 15mins I think
I hope it never does aswell because this is my favourite type of rolling stock on the entire London Underground and Ive always wanted to drive 1 ever since it 1st came out!
good video
Well Morden Is the southern most station on the whole of the tube network
around 9am
Is this train faster
before you use london subway you must ive in 12 more than 365 days - a380 .
yes
I miss it
Although the right-hand running is operating at London Bridge station.
***** ya I forgot and originally Elephant & Castle was to be a right-hand ran station but it was objected maybe bcos it was next to Kennington and it's not far enough to switch between right-hand running and left-hand running. Could you do a video on the new northern line
Absolutely gripping stuff
