I've had a scorpion on my Impreza and it sounded great with the dump valve, distinctive. So for the megane a scorpion will be my first port of call, along with a forge front mount intercooler. Nice 👍
Wow the meanest little 4 banger I’ve ever herd properly crackling and popping!we don’t have any of those in the states but it’s a cool little hot hatch.
It's a very deceptive car. With the stage 1 tune its pretty quick in a roll on, in fact its 60-120 time is quicker than a stock 1m. But the way it goes round corners is really mind bending. Its like you never need to slow down. With coil overs and a decent set of tyres they lap ring faster than a lot of supercars.
Zero To 60 that’s so cool. Only things we have close are Kia’s new like N sports hot hatch’s and good old like Honda legends and VW’s... That things awesome. Hope to see lots more on this cool little car.
Big job, just finished.. for consistent remove result. Cut the curve of the top of the downpipe with hacksaw then put car on stands get a floor jack and wood tilt engine towards front
Looks like the decat will cause a decent airflow problem where it bolts to the exhaust pipe, the smaller exhaust pipe will be like a wall with gas bouncing there, louder does not always mean better flow but with the correct size exhaust flange and pipe flow would be great.
Great video guys, just shows me I'll leave the downpipe install on my megane to someone who knows what they're doing! Do you think there would be any issues installing a cat after the downpipe? Cheers
Cool job guys - i think if you use mild steel exhaust bolts rather than high tensile they wont become brittle. I.e the heat cycles. Thats what my engineering mate told me back when i was playing on RB skylines and TB patrols. Maybe someone on here can explain more?
That makes a a lot of sense. And to be fair we just wanted the strongest bolts that would fit through the holes in the down-pipe. But will look in to the science in what you are saying for sure.
When’s the 0-60 video coming out for this. Really curious to see what difference a decat makes and whether or not it’s worth the money. Is there anything to be changed with the tune now with the decat?
To be honest no. Main concern was getting heat away from the turbo and the sound. Didn't even consider wrapping the exhaust :|..... Could you have made this comment 3 days ago before we did the job? hahaha
Zero To 60 haha apologies for not mentioning it earlier. Now you’ve sold the best value hot hatch on the market, what’s next? If I might offer a few suggestions... a clio 172 and then do a throttle body conversion. Then show Woody what an N/A two door is supposed to be like. Or an Alfa Giulietta QV. Nowhere near as competent as the Megane, but they make silly power with an exhaust and tune and the later model K04 turbo. Plus they’re cheap
Damn all cars i would love to own. To be honest if money is available i will probably buy this one back or another RS250 first. I want a decent circuit car thats still useable on the road and i don't think you can beat them. In the mean time, the money from the megs needs to go towards paying for some of the 335i mods.

Nice detail in the video. Might tackle fitting my Scorpion decat this weekend ... but I'll remove the drive shaft to avoid the cutting.
There is an Australian mob called Koya based in Sydney who do a downpipe decat. With downpipe and a few other bolt ons they get to around 200kw atw.

None at all. A high flow mid cat, should pass emissions, flow better and get the heat away from the turbo.

Not sure exactly yet. Hopefully soon ish. But most likely sometime in August.

No engine light. But the car is running a stage 1 tune from Henk at RSTuner.
