Elegant Brush Bronzewing pigeons (Phaps elegans) are found in a variety of dense shrubland and woodland habitats across southern Australia. They feed on the seeds of a variety of native and introduced plants, and sometimes take a few insects. Brush Bronzewings are shy and rarely seen, however a good place to see them is in the grounds of the Cheynes Beach Caravan Park on the south coast of Western Australia, where they have become habituated to humans. This video shows a female Brush Bronzewing walking in the caravan park and a male calling from a tree near the edge of the park.
