I have the 2022 890 duke r. And absolutely love it. I'm coming from a cbr1000rr which I still have just don't ride it anymore. The 890R is everything I need.
I was hesitating about buying this bike because all the stories about fiability failures of KTM. But the dealer offered me a very good price and I pulled the trigger. First 5.000km and I'm in love with this bike, is so light, agile and stable that you can use with confidence all the explosive power and torque that this brillant motor has. After first service I bought the tech pack that bring track mode and quickshifter+, the same electronics of the R model, and the bike becomes a beast. It always put a big smile on my face!
Nice review. I recently bought the same one and really love the power & handling of this bike. Really awesome middleweight naked. Wish i could get the r version with the same color.
Hey great video! I'm very close to purchasing my own 2022 890 Duke and this video gave some good extra little info. Quick thing about the mirrors though..what brand is shown on the bike and did they need adapters for fitment? Cheers ✌
JUST GOT MY A WEEK AGO, JUST GO UNDER 200 MILES ON IT, AND I AGREED WITH EVERYTHING YOU SAID, THE BRAKES ARE VERY VERY GOOD, ITS SO LIGHT AND EZ TO NAVIGATE, I ADDED THE QUICK SHIFTER, WHICH IT DOES GIVE ME A BETTER RIDING EXPERENICE. I CAME FROM A SPORT BIKE, AND WANTED A BETTER RIDE POSITION, AND THIS BIKE JUST GIME WHAT I WANTED, SHES PERFECT FOR ME.!~
Many people change the mirrors to the bar end mirrors mainly for the looks. KTM actually makes a powerparts OEM bar end mirror as an upgrade for this bike as well. It is a preference for some people. :)
I actually prefer the stock mirrors I'm a bigger guy and I don't have to move my shoulders out of the way to look back. Imo they are the best stock mirrors I've had on any other bike.
I had the 890 until I bought the 890R last year and that's the best street bike I've ridden 🤩

Is it good, im thinking about getting one? Is it fun?
@@Harnishchappy eey, yes its very good I would recommend the track pack as atleast one option to get.

had a ton of problems with it, basically every liquid in it leaks, but I still love it.
Got the 890 R, loving it! Great Vid!
Thanks! It’s a sweet bike! 🙂
I have 7900 miles on my 2021 Duke 890. Still runs perfectly in perfect condition.

This is nice bike but its definitely not L Twin :) 6:28
Crazy, the EU Version has even smaller Indicatores. These look huge
Really? That would be nice - you should see some of the other similar bikes (like the MT-09 etc - much larger then the KTM) lol
It's everywhere else, except in the U.S..they still think that Halogen bulb is more superior to LED...a bunch of dick heads..😂🤣
Great vid, very informative and detailed
Thank you! 🙂
Great machine!
nice clean content. Hope you get more subs
Thanks!🙏🙂

Thanks! I believe the bar end mirror on this bike are by Oxford. Quite inexpensive and easy to install! (no adapters needed) 🙂
@@DriveRide sweet! Thanks for that
looks fun to ride but my concerns are about reliability.

Chill out and stop using upper caps
Unfortunately, a model you can no longer buy - only the 890 Duke R is available (US that is). You have to buy a used 890 model or the new 790.
How do you get the heated grips to integrate into the screen? All i see online are grips with a separate controller
It is the KTM specific heated grips that integrate seamlessly
Found this bike for sale .. thinking of getting it as my first bike 😂😂😂..
Better than MT09 & 765RS?😅😅😅
Great review. Thanks for posting. One small point: it’s a parallel twin not an L twin.
Why would you want to move yours eyes further from the road ahead to look in the mirrors?

Perhaps motorcycles are not for you
@@captainthruster9484 Well, I'm still riding at 77 (f700GS)
Wanna know how this bike Really looks @ Good or Bad ? Take a look at Ur choice of Partner 🤣
2:14 you should see the European variant, looks straight up custom. Sadly all Us indicators look like shit, because of the regulations.
