Those are Mongolian horses, more like ponies in build and able to carry more weight in comparison to size than horses. Historically, horses were smaller than today. Cowboys and knights rode horses that averaged 14.2 hands. The Mongolian army that conquered Asia and Europe under Ghengis Khan rode ponies the same size as the ones in this video. They were famed for their toughness.
@@GFSTaylor the idea horses/ponies that small can carry more than a horse is debunked and no longer seen as ethical in the equestrian community, by ethical equestrians anyways. No equine that small should carry grown men, especially in ways they’re doing it in that video. We aren’t cowboys n knight’s anymore, and even the knights we do have now ride big horses. There’s a rule of 20% per horses body weight (that’s including you AND tack) for a reason. That implies to ALL equines.
I absolutely love horses, and bc i live in the city i don't see horses often, I've only ever ridden a horse twice but, HORSE ARE MY FAV THING IN THE WORLD

Thats the owner before he was completely ruined by his new one. I’m pretty sure that wasn’t the abusive owner, I don’t see any forcing of the horses head/neck or the bit pinching and pulling, the horse looks relatively relaxed. If you want to know how he was abused you can search Totilas abuse/abused.

I think she was trying to slow her pony down because her foot was stuck in the stirrup! my horse knows to stop when I fall
She was being dragged… what else you expect her to do? Not try keep the horse from bolting and galloping across the arena with her? People have died from a galloping horse dragging them like the way she was being dragged, only the pony wasn’t really galloping. It would of been even more dangerous for her to give the horse the rein, the ability to gallop off.

Ok so some horses have this area in their face that can close off or become infected by something so they either put tissue in the through the nose to enhance or to help with some condition, or it’s a tube they use to see inside. hope this helped!

There is no problem with trick riding. It just depends on the way you use it .

SUPER DUPER DANGEROUS! I get her foot was stuck but there are MANY reasons to how that can happen.
1: stirrup not on the ball of the foot
2: wrong boot size
3: To short or to long stirrup
All thes things can lead to this accurence but what she should have done is LET GO OF THOSE REINS! You can not be holding on that is one thing that could have serious damage to the inside of your horses mouth and the pain on their face. She should have just let go and have someone stop the horse.
or no saftey stirrups, but she didn't delibrately hang on, our first instinct is not "let go!!" we're still processing what the f is happening

13:56 that’s not nice riding. They only want the medal, no care whatsoever for the horses, or their own, safety. Not only that but they are making a mockery of our sport. Horse riding is supposed to be elegant.
Just saying it was a time race and in that i mostly see abuse but in that one it was alr (my opinion)
