Giving my conclusion first: Jalter > Cu alter. I)Cu alter as a bsk class is almost no use in speed rush(weaker than kintoki who has a 50np self charge and same level NP), cuz he has a defensive skill group. II)Cu and alter works better than Jalter when there is a mixed team with other servants, cuz he himself can fight independently and that's why he can solo many normal quests. III)In high difficulty quests, Jalter will be better with highest critical with Merlin and with aggressive skill group. IV)Cu alter can be got within story summon after u finish 5th chapter and also in class summon(bsk). But u can only get Jalter when there's an event. And there is almost no substitution for Jalter but Hercules is a slight low substitution for Cu alter when you get bond10
Jeanne has more banners than Cu, so you can always save for her on another time. That being said, if you really like her, go for it. Otherwise, you can roll for Cu.
You do know in Japan, Kintoki has fallen into trash tier because of Break bars, right? Cu is the best Berserker in Japan right now, after him it's Raikou due to her AOE NP.

BQA - 2nd highest NP gain that still has the buster bonus for damage. (ABQ has highest NP gain but ~33% lower damage, and actually if you get Overkill bonus on the Arts hit thanks to Buster in first place then BQA gives most NP anyways) Also, using your NP means you will change targets both before and after it if you kill with it, so the Buster -> NP -> Buster was probably because he knew the NP would not kill the target alone, but a Buster + NP would, leaving the last Buster and Extra to kill the next target. I noticed once he left a lone mook alive so he could farm NP off it as well for example. And the times he used BBA he probably needed damage from 2 busters but still wanted the NP gain.
The only part that left me huh was the ABQ on 6:16 where he picked the 10% crit buster instead of the 90% lol Luck helped him tho, he critted the 10% lol

So long and short you could probably do this with a NP 1 cu however you would feel pressured going into that last wave due to your lower hp if you didnt have a level 100 cu
He use *Empietà* CE (the one with Jalter holding Gilles in it). That CE give others 15NP charge when the Servant that use it died (20NP charge if MLB). The CE can be obtain from *Da Vinci and The 7 Counterfeit Heroic Spirits* event. You can use the 3 star one with the same effect for a moment, *Battle of Camlann* (the one with Artoria regretting on top piles of bodies). Down side of that CE is only 10NP charge (15NP charge for MLB).

I'm really debating whether I should use my saints quartz for Jalter or cu alter. I really like them both as characters and they are both really good.

He intentionally didn't want to kill the enemy so he could build more NP off it with another turn, since he knew it wasn't going to kill Cu.
