I had this braid in 4 strands PE #1, it was just the strongest braid I've ever had, I used it in shore jigging and in very rough rockfishing, it never disappointed me, however, I kept my reel for 1 year and a half, at an average rate of one to two sessions per week.
I have this exact line on my reel (except I have the blue version). It's very quiet, smooth, and casts well. It is thinner than the Diawa J Braid Grand 8 I was using before. The only thing of note is that all my breakoffs so far have happened on the line itself, not at the leader connection knot (I also use FG Knot). Great video, I like the line and I will continue to use it, but it is VERY nice knowing the line is objectively good!
I have experienced similar problems with my lines as well. I got PE 0.6 all the up to 3.0 in Varivas 8 and for some odd reason the PE 1.0 - 1.5 lines just break easily out of no where. No rubbing or anything, just cast out and when I get a decent hit on the bait or lure it just snaps and that was with a fresh spool.
@@aresze7083 Yes, for a couple of my breakoffs I was fairly certain there was no abrasion. Normally I break off at the knot or leader. I will keep testing it.
@@orangef3802 I have been thoroughly testing the lines on multiple reels and rods with different situations and rigs rigorously and im still getting random break offs at different intervals of the line. Can't really tell if its a user issue or just purely bad luck.
Yes! This line, like your mentioned in video, is replacement for old base line High Grade. I belive that new line is beter for casting. But unfotunately you cant perform laboratory test for casting ( you need too long laboratory ) . Please think about casting test (it may bee pair test for 2 model of line). Cast it with 2 same reel ant rod alternately. Cast length is very hard to measure correctly, but its VERY important for real fishing.
How smooth and good is it against YGK upgrade 8x? did u try it in saltwater? i think its top tier considering the price and quality but not sure how that translates in real world testing
What an amazing job you actually do for us... thank you very much... please if u can do a test on varivas avani jigging max power 10x10 X8 or the new one X9. Thank you.
Thank you! We have tested the 10x10 in PE3 and the results are on the Braid Summary page of the website. I haven't been able to get a sample of the x9 as yet but as soon as I can we will test it out.
I think your FG knot mastery needs work. In my experience fg knot always comes close to 100%, minimum 90% of bs. Its important to understand that fg knot is not a real knot but a wrap. You wrap a leader as tight as possible and with the right amount of wraps(experiment) and finish is less important( just for 'knot' to not 'unwrap').

In this jungle of fishing lines, you are my guiding light 🫶

Great fishing line, great work
been waiting for the video. thank you!
Hcould you do a visual and strength test on some of your used braid? Be interesting to see how strong it is and how furry it gets after abit of use.
We did a full video on that exact subject: th-cam.com/video/xJ9bnC_44tE/w-d-xo.html
@@thelinelaboratory thanks
I had this in the PE1 PE2 and PE4. Pretty good thin line but fairly stiff.
Stiff, really? This one is super supple. I have to get some of the higher strengths to try as it seems great so far.
@@thelinelaboratory Out of the box or when it retains its coating imo. Its of course a good line overall

If I can get a sample then yes absolutely.

I have it spooled up on a light saltwater setup but yet to give it go. I haven't personally tried the YGK so i wont be able to compare directly.
@@thelinelaboratory Awesome! lmk how it goes
@@thelinelaboratory Hello, did you try it? how did it go?

@@antonysengy0576in the world you mean. Definately needs more credit for what theyre doing for the industry!
Nice vid, could you please test Duel TheOne PE line? It working great on my reel, but not sure it against other brands
I will keep an eye out if anybody has some and I can get a sample to test.
very interesting, the review of this line is not very high in Aamazon jp, seems like it has quality control issues.
Interesting I will check that out

Have you ever tested yozuri super braid?
I was sent some but unfortunately not enough to do even half of the testing, so at this point I am yet to fully test it.
