It'll never cease to amaze me how truly horrible old actors were. Like I'm sure there were good actors, but most of them never saw a stage because fuck me they had to put food on the table right? We live now in an age where just about anyone stands a chance at their dream job. If you have the talent, you can almost certainly make a living off of your dreams, even if it's not a grandiose living.
