That long shot was a combination of stunt people and extras that were trained for that scene. Amazing scene. And for those who asked, who carries a gun to church? You've never been to church in 'Murica.
@@justinpitcock5312There have been times when people fucked around and went to shoot up churches expecting everybody to be unarmed and then they found out.
I'm surprised nobody notices the moment when his Lighter grenade goes off, his hearing is affected by the blast for a second and he almost comes back to himself, before he starts hearing the signal from the phones again.
Yeah. Harry survived only because he was so well-trained. Normally he would never let himself get that close to a live grenade. Ironically, it was BECAUSE he was so close that he was able to snap back to reality, even momentarily.
Love the look on Harry when he snaps out of it, just for a briefs seconds after the granade goes off because of the shock wave affecting the signal. He's like "what the heck is happening?" This movie is so good!
props to the stunt actors, extras, the actor and the crew for making this amazing scene. I cannot imagine practicing it for maybe hours to have each scenes to be prefect and spot on
That's how it's done in oriental martial arts and heroic bloodshed movies. Days spent shooting the regular acting footage and months spent on the action scenes.
Kinda surprising that Free Bird hasn’t been used a whole lot in movies and tv (the way that something like Gimme Shelter has for instance) it’s such an iconic song but the only other shows I’ve heard use it are The Devil’s Rejects and an episode of Californication
There are quite a few videos of TH-cam of people dubbing over scenes from other films with Free Bird, for example the elevator fight scene from Captain America: Civil War.
That scene is singlehandedly one of the greatest action scenes ever created. The level of violence and the timing needed to pull all of that off was fucking awesome.
One of the best moments in this whole scene as the moment the pistol comes out. The hesitation. the thought of "Am I going to do this?" You can see it in his face as he thinks this through. The look on her face, as she realizes she could die in any second and asking herself, "what the hell have I done?" And the look on his face as that decision is made. Amazing little touch that really drives this scene home.
This was one of those films I just went without having any knowledge about it, without watching any trailers. This movie just came out of nowhere and delivered. My adrenaline was just pumping during this entire scene 😂
I'm a pessimist by nature, but I will say it does spark hope in my heart to see so many people disgusted with what the preacher is saying. Even if this is just a movie, it's good to see so many decent people out there.
I thought the use of a Takarov TT33 for the main pistol for the Kingsmen was an interesting choice. I guess the makers wanted something different to the usual Berettas or Colts or Rugers etc.
So, when this movie came out nobody in my family really knew anything about it or bothered to go see it in the theater. So fast forward until it was available on Google Play, me and my parents were bored and liking James Bond / Spy movies a lot I rented it and we started watching, knowing nothing about it. We thought it was a pretty good spy movie up until this scene, when we realized it was truly a bit of a parody of spy films / a spy film that took things up to 11. Once the Free Bird kicked in and he started massacring the entire church I immediately paused it to go grab my brother from the other room so he could see it. We were all hooked from there till the end of the movie. This scene, and the ending with K.C. and the Sunshine Band were fucking brilliant.
About a week ago, I considered messaging the page saying "church scene Kingsman" Then I realized you can only.male a superset if enough people had reacted... So i didn't. But then you released this... algorithm has evolved to read minds.
The thing is, its such a great scene. One of the best chereograph hollywood action scenes out there. The little details of harry being out of his mental stage from the sim card and then going back in again. That little detail. With free bird solo as the score as well. Just perfectly executed. Shame the second one didnt live up to the first but hell. What a scene. And the fact this happened in a church makes it that much more cause it is quite sensitive as well. Hollywood wont get near this level anymore cause they are afraid they will get cancelled for it.
It was actually even longer originally. But when they showed it to the author of Kingsman, he said that even for a video game junkie like him, the full, uncut scene was too much. So they added in all the cutaways to break it up.
Great job !! You can make a special of reactions, from my favorite scene of Terminator 2, which is the scene of the crane truck jumping from the bridge ? there have certainly been many reactions of surprise because no one expects a truck to jump from a bridge.
I like how this scene is directed to make you cheer Harry on, but it ends up making you uncomfortable. That's fully intentional. Sure, it's established that the people in that church have reprehensible views, but they don't deserve such a massacre! I guess the idea is that not just do the people lose control in this scene, but so does the audience when they cheer Harry on through epic music and stunts, not realizing what's going on.
And to think in that chaos there were so many long shots. Imagine if some shit like fast and furious or some Michael bay crap pulled this. There wouldve been so many cuts and diffrent useless angles that you would never know wtf was going on. Real love put into that movie and a lot of blazing acting by great actors
also a great example of my fave created sayings after diving deep into crime and true crime, any thing can be a weapon, even a deadly weapon, if you try hard enough

My favorite scene of any film, ever. And for those shocked by the demented 'sermon' and the strapped church patrons...welcome to the south because both of those depictions are quite accurate and not that uncommon here. And yep, we got a lot of crap to work on down here.

Obviously.
I'm friends with someone in that scene
@damianhudson6399 that's cool. I bet it was Interesting to shoot.
It also took 7 days to shoot
@hwheelez24 wow! And it's so seamless.
This is the pure definition of the quote, "I'm not locked in here with all of you, you're locked in here with me."
“Who carries a gun to church” it’s a church in Kentucky what do you expect.
And it's a bunch of hateful rednecks, so of course they'll be armed.
😂😂, Dasha needs to do some research on right wing American churches. Maybe she should do some reactions of Fox News.😂😂

I don't think anyone has considered that at all these past few years. Valid point explains why he paused for a bit with shock
I did!!!!! I just commented on it. Glad to know I'm not alone on this one!!!
Yeah. Harry survived only because he was so well-trained. Normally he would never let himself get that close to a live grenade. Ironically, it was BECAUSE he was so close that he was able to snap back to reality, even momentarily.
The music also dies down, which to me implies that the frequency everyone is hearing is Free Bird.
We all noticed it.

Of course, telling from the background nobody else is snapping out of it, so it's no surprise Harry gets back into berserker mode.
agreed great subtle story telling on all parts,.
You absolutely outdid yourself with this one, amazing. Thank you for putting the work.

Makes sense to me. It's one thing to follow a group like this, but it takes a special kind of deep-seated hatred to _found_ one.
Still setting the standard for reaction mashups, outstanding effort.
