Thanks for the update - office is looking good! That looks like a live edge slab of wood... but is it possible that it is a broken-stone faced slab of concrete? I confess my first thought was that it isn't long enough as it falls short of meeting the wall there, but obviously you are not done yet - so I'll wait till you put it all together and then share it with us. You are right - gotta recharge them batteries every so often.
