You have some of my favorite books ever on this list! Shogun, A Song for Arbonne, The Given Day - all awesome! I'm also planning on rereads of Crime and Punishment and The Power of the Dog. Best of luck getting all these in this year!
Hi Ian! Love the selections! I, too, have "Sula" high on my 2025 list. it will be my first Toni Morrison. Others I am looking forward to reading soon are "Boneshaker" a steampunk novel by Cherie Priest, and "Wake Up and Open Your Eyes" by Clay McLeod Chapman (release date: today!). Right now, I am mid-way through Klara and the Sun and really liking it.
What a great list of books! A few of those are also on my tbr. I hope you enjoy The Power of the Dog - but if you liked the Danny Ryan trilogy, I would honestly be shocked if you didn’t. Also, The Given Day was my first read of 2025! I finished it yesterday, and I absolutely adored it. Tremendous book, definitely a new favourite. Looks like you have a great reading year ahead of you👀 Y
I really liked the tv show of Dirk Gently! I’m interested in reading the book and seeing how they compare. My number one priority this year is Wolf Hall which I’ve owned for at least 10 years. Looks like you have lots of great reading ahead of you!
My favorite Elmore Leonard is Freaky Deaky & I ❤️ Klara and the Sun! I am reading Curse of the Mistwraith right now for Janny January it is amazing! I started Don Quixote, enjoyed the start but then it got very repetitve and gave up. It is very humorous.
@erinmaggio5620 I have three on my hopeful TBR. I think the first one I will be reading is Blacktop Wasteland. I also want to read All The Sinners Bleed and Razorblade Tears.
Great video, brother! You added more books to my tbr you wonderful sonofagun😂 Yessss, Repairman Jack! Hahaha cant wait to see what you think. The keep is good but repairman jacks books are better so dont judge until you read the tomb😉
@ianthereader Hahaha true, but there's always room at Triple B's TBR Inn for more weary books to find a place to lay their beautiful bookish covers until I can read them😍
Look, I read literally ZERO of the 24 in 2024 books so you can feel better about only reading 10 yourself hahahaha. Hope this new list goes better, you've got some very exciting picks! Have you watched Talking Story's video about where to start with David Mitchell? That was suuuuch a good guide! Happy reading 🤩
Memory Sorrow and Thorn is amazing in many places, and too long winded in others. if you guys had guts you'd read 4 books worth instead of 3. BUT, maybe it needs to be 3 to cut down some slog. I enjoyed Otherland more than this series and Bobby Dollar.
Quite the list! Good luck you chronic mood reader you!
Hopefully Crime and Punishment is good, i've been meaning to read it for years now
Same! Seems like a great book but I'm intimidated that is too complex and dense for me!
Hopefully we all love it!
hope you enjoy THE HAAR, very weird book, but very fun!
I’m excited about it! And it’s so short, thank goodness 😂

I’ve got no guts. I’m just trying my best. 😂 I’m interested in both of those other Tad Williams series, too!
