Issues is the type of band where you can listen to the album over and over again each time focus on a different instrument or the vocals and you will be amazed over and over again because every member of this band is an absolute genius

I think I finally found a name for this new fusion genre that Issues has single handily started with songs like this, I mean pop metal, jazz/fusion metal, and even "soul metal" sound too ambiguous, and "RnB metal" and "progressive pop metal" just sounds stupid, and "yacht metal" sounds a bit too gimmicky even though this stuff does have a slightly heavier yacht rock feel at times..........why not call this new style blue-eyed metal? In the same way that you have "blue-eyed soul" groups like Hall & Oates, etc.
Why would it blue-eyed though? Blue-eyed soul name was made to differentiate between white people who did it and thoughs who originated soul. Metal isn't typically defined by a certain race, so blue-eyed makes no sense.

@@iloveknawledge6552 well hey, maybe we'll just call it "Yacht Metal" then since this music does have a heavier Doobie Brothers/Toto/Christopher Cross/Steely Dan sound to it. The only element that these songs are lacking that would qualify it as such are guitar solos.
