Jazz, groove soul. Learnt jazz first learning how to play the guitar and glad I took that advice instead of wanting to learn the music you were into. Then discovered punk, pop punk from grunge rock and metal. Then discovered melodic emo post hardcore and the rest is history. Now my band Branigan's Law only write life inspired jazz melodic metalcore.

The screams made this band so generic, Michael really weighed this band down IMO. This is so much more unique. There is so much going on its brilliant.
😆 pretty good inspiration from that old song. This album would've been almost as good as the last one but you guys kicking off the screamer is too much. the back up/guitarist makes a few small appearances when he needs to be going in on almost every song from this album. The overall production quality hasn't fallen off. But it just lacks that dirty vocals which makes you guys a step above bands like Slaves but not in really in your own league like you all were. Please bring him back!
Jerett Franklin They’re already a step above Slaves. Slaves is generic as fuck. Instrumentally, Issues is unlike the majority of other bands in this genre. Michael had no place in this band anymore. They’re best songs from their last album had no screams. And the songs that did, the screams were forced in there.

Have you not heard any of Tyler Carters solo stuff? It’s R&B and pop. So majority of the songs on this album sound like that with some “Issues” here and there in the songs. They are all talented musicians but in my opinion this is not an Issues album. There’s plenty of one singer bands who are a band and have stayed somewhat in the lane of their music genre. Deftones would be a great example of a one singer band who has stayed a band and stay in their lane. When one of the members wants to do some off the wall shit, they go solo or start a different band. Team Sleep is a good example. Tool is another one. Anyway that’s my opinion.

Their last album was better with the other vocalist. They shouldn't have kicked him out
Jerett Franklin but they wanted to go to this type of direction on their music. And Michael's voice isn't fit to this. So i think they had no choice but to kick him out instead of just letting him stand in the background in live shows.
I think people need to understand that kicking a person who put so much into the beginnings of a band wont help said band take those steps forward. A good example is Linkin Park, when Chester wanted to go for a more rock & roll style & not nu metal, they didnt kick Mike out, now did they? No. They found ways to incorporate Mike in. & now, they're not only remembered as the pioneers of Nu Metal, but they're also admired for being musically diverse. This album, though, this "Beautiful Oblivion", this ain't it chief.
@@anjuxhitoshi the only thing different between Bonn and Shinoda is that Shinoda played guitar and piano for linkin park while bonn just screams. Yeah, bonn can play the drums, but issues already got a drummer.
EDIT: the new stuff hardly has any screams, and sky and aj can do the screams in their early stuff, i think that's why they asked him to leave.
But yeah, i get you, all the effort his done in the band just to be treated like that . It's a total bummer. Like, they could had let him take vocal lessons to improve his voice like the bassist in miss may i. But they've made their decision, let's just wish the best for Bon and his new band.
You're not getting my point. Linkin Park worked around it, even incorporated some hip-hop/rap influence to their more rock oriented albums. Chester kept true to his bandmates. Just from this album alone, you can tell that Michael wasnt kicked because he didnt offer anything. Instead, they probably had some personal feuds going on between them. The abrupt news that they kicked him out, on top of this major genre change tells it all.
Real shame what happened to this band. Not digging the new sound whatsoever.
